The admission process at St John’s Medical College is entrance based with the process being conducted by KEA. The authority accepts scores of the entrance exam that it conducts for the same. MBBS, BTech, MS, and MD candidates seeking admission are required to apply via the Karnataka-CET 2026 entrance exam. BPT/MPT/ MSc/MHA/PhD admission candidates are required to apply via the official website of St John's Medical College and apply online.

Candidates seeking admission to SJMC MHA course must meet the required eligibility criteria. Eligible candidates can further apply by visiting the college official website. The medical college shortlist candidates based on merit in the last qualifying examination. Shotlisted candidates have to further appear for an interview round after which seat allotment is carried out. The total seat intake for two-year SJMC MHA programme is 30. This is as per the SJMC Allied Health Sciences Admission Bulletin 2023.
