Review of St. Joseph's College of Commerce.
Placements: The college has a brilliant and efficient placement cell that handles placements. All MNCs and reputed companies such as KPMG, Goldman Sachs, Google, Amazon, Deloitte, etc., do come to the campus for recruitment. Travel Companies such as Thomas Cook also visit the college for recruitment. Overall, it is a great college to study in if you are looking to get into the corporate sector.
Infrastructure: The campus has a beautiful ground which serves its purpose for football, hockey as well as cricket. It has a great basketball court, which lights up during the Spiel Fest (annual sports fest). There is an amazing parking facility for both cars as well as bikes. Classrooms are huge and won't let you feel too compacted. The campus has 2 auditoria.
Faculty: The college has amazing faculty members pushing you to study with a friendly nature. Teachers make sure that they complete the classes before the scheduled time so that there's no need to take extra classes. The management takes extra care of every weak student as well by providing them with extra classes or homework if they are weak in a particular subject.
Other: The campus is located in the middle of the city. Brigade Road is the crowded place for any of your friends to socialise. Fests are great, and the crowd is standard.

It feels good to be in one of the top institutes in India with great infrastructure and faculty.
Placements: Around 10% of the students were placed through campus placements, and the rest of the students have also got good jobs. There is a separate placement department to assist students for their future plans. They provide great opportunities in top companies as they have good contacts with the companies.
Infrastructure: The college has a conference room, a media room, two halls to conduct events and 3 AV rooms. It also has a football court, a basketball court, a cricket net, and indoor games facilities like carrom and table tennis are available. A gym is also available for students.
Faculty: All faculty members are well trained and experienced. They are helpful and friendly with students. They also take feedback from students and try to improve their teaching quality. The college has a TQM team which checks on the quality of education provided by the teachers.
Other: It is a great place to build your future.

Faculty: The course curriculum is very diverse, and learning is not restricted only to textbooks, but we often have taken for external exposures. The teachers are highly qualified and very approachable. The course curriculum is focused towards understanding the current situation.
Other: The college gives us a great opportunity to showcase our talents in all fields. We have fests almost in every month related to different themes.

A review of SJCC: 2012-2015.
Placements: As mine was the first batch of B.Com- travel and tourism, the companies specific to the specialization were less. We were eligible for placements along with the regular B.Com students in all the companies that arrived. Some of the companies that visited were EY, KPMG, Tesco, Target, DE Shaw, Deloitte, etc. They offered roles as analysts in finance, audit, tax, retail sector, etc. The only company that came for internships were Goldman Sachs which later hired these interns as employees. Wipro hired students as ambassadors. The salary offered varied from 2 lacs to 4 lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure were good. Although there was Wi-Fi in the campus it was not really accessible to the students. We had fully furnished classrooms equipped with projectors and screens, also with good light and ventilation. There was a well-stocked library with a good collection of books. The sports room and playgrounds were big enough for all the sports enthusiasts and they were fully equipped. There was no sick room/wellness room on campus for sick students to rest in or recover. The labs, auditoriums, and AV rooms were good and accommodated a fair number of students. The college does not have a hostel for girls.
Faculty: The nature and knowledge of the faculty members varied. While some were excellent in terms of teaching and interacting with the students, some of them were not up to the mark. As I was part of the first batch of B.Com-travel and tourism, the course structure was more like an experiment during the initial days which was not a very pleasant experience. But later on, it was good and interesting. Teaching methods included lecturing, PPT presentations, assignments, etc. During the 3 years of college, we were taken to one industrial visit and 2 study tours. We were about 70 students in a class.
