B.Tech. in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science - Batch of 2024

Good infrastructure, supportive faculty, and decent placement opportunities.
Placements: I am from the 2024 B.Tech computer science and engineering batch. In our course, around 50% of students were placed through campus drives. The highest package offered was around 7 LPA. Some of the top companies for our course included TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Accenture.
Infrastructure: In our department, we had access to well-equipped and high-speed Wi-FI, smart classroom, and library. The infrastructure helped in academics. Regarding hostel facilities, the rooms were spacious and maintained regularly, and provided a good environment.
Faculty: Teachers had professional knowledge about the subject. Quality of teachers was very good. Semester exams were difficult but easy to pass. The course that we had was very professional in improving our logical thinking. Pass percentage at my college was 65%.

Our college is good for middle-class students with affordable fees.
Placements: Students with 75 to 80% get placed in many companies. The minimum package is 3–4 LPA, and the maximum is 7–8 LPA. Companies like Cognizant and some from Infosys recruit from our campus and students working there.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the classes and hostel is good. Medical facilities, games, and sports are also good. The food in the canteen could be better but is not always good. When it comes to laboratories, we have 2 labs full of computers. Everything is fine.
Faculty: All teachers are qualified. My course is curriculum-relevant. We have some training programs, boot camps, and hackathons in our college. Semester exams are conducted with strict invigilation. The pass percentage is 78% based on the last exams.
Other: Fests, farewells, and many other events go on well.

Best place for entertainment but not for studies.
Placements: For our batch, there is no proper placement. They are saying that they are getting placements, but these are totally useless. Most of them are BPOs only. Few companies are saying that the placement is for IT roles only, but there will be no response after the placement interviews regarding selection.
Infrastructure: There will be lab periods, but rarely, and practice periods are less. The hostel is like *. There are 30 members per room and nearly 150 members per floor. There are no attached washrooms, and only 5 washrooms are available for 150 students. They don't even provide racks to students.
Faculty: Most of the lecturers' qualifications are M.Tech and Ph.D. Faculty is very friendly. They help the students in academics, but the pass percentage is very low. It may be 60 percent, I think. They don't care about attendance; all they need is paying the fee.

Good college infrastructure.
Placements: Only 20 percent of students in our college are placed, which accounts for a mere fraction of the total student population. Among the companies that visit our campus for recruitment, call center companies like Savanties and Mahindra seem to be the most prominent. However, it must be acknowledged that our college may not be highly efficient in terms of placement opportunities.
Infrastructure: Our college boasts a plethora of facilities, including labs, digital classrooms, and a playground. The expansive grounds provide ample space for sports activities. Moreover, we are fortunate to have specialized labs for Chemistry, Science, and English, as well as other labs essential for the core branches. Additionally, there is a small canteen that offers a variety of food options such as tiffin, dosa, idly, bondas, snacks, and refreshing cold drinks.
Faculty: During our time at college, we were fortunate to have an exceptional faculty that was not only friendly but also dedicated to our academic growth. They played a crucial role in instilling discipline and ensuring that we remained focused on our studies. Moreover, their teaching methods were highly effective, as they adeptly conveyed complex concepts to us. Additionally, they ensured that we were well-prepared for our semester exams by providing us with an extensive syllabus to study. Overall, their teaching was exemplary and greatly contributed to our learning experience.
Other: I graduated with a degree in Computer Science and Engineering in June 2023. I commenced my studies at this college in 2019. The college organizes a fresher party for new students and also celebrates an annual day. Additionally, there are branch-specific functions and events held on special occasions, which are both enjoyable and captivating.

Absolutely dissatisfied due to bad placements.
Placements: In my batch, no one got a job through the placements. They only conducted formalities for four companies, and even if we were selected, they didn't send offer letters. My college stated that due to the pandemic, no companies were coming for placements, even though other colleges were facilitating placements. We all had to find jobs on our own.
Infrastructure: The hostel food was not good, and the water was not pure; we often got rashes and had to go for hospital check-ups, resulting in wasted money. However, the college look was okay, and we could enjoy the ground area and play games sometimes. We did enjoy college life with our friends during college time.
Faculty: The lecturer's knowledge was good, but it couldn't help students prepare for jobs. They explained the subject plainly, and apart from the subject, they didn't provide any practical training or updated versions. They only covered what was necessary to complete exams in college.

I am somewhat satisfied with college. My college has not reached my expectations Ihad before joining.
Placements: There are good placements in our college. But, very few students receive college placements, and they are offered low-LPA jobs. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA and the lowest salary offered is 3 LPA. There are no top recruiting companies for my course in our college. Out of 100, only 30% of students have joined internships in web development and data science.
Infrastructure: We have good computer labs available in our college, but the faculty do not use them properly for the students. Many chemistry and physics labs are also available, but the faculty has failed to utilize them effectively. Hostel food is average. Our college is very good in terms of sports, but there are no proper medical facilities available in our college.
Faculty: Some teachers are very good, but some lectures are not up to the mark. For example, those who have completed B. Teach in our college are also teaching us right after finishing their studies from our college. Teaching is not up to the mark. There is course curriculum and it makes students industry-ready. Passing exams in our affiliated colleges is very tough. Papers in exams are also very tough and students have to study very well just to pass. The pass percentage is 60%.
Other: I chose this because I have had a dream since my 11th class to become data scientist. I wish to add more real-world examples in the books. There are a lot of events, at least 3-4 events yearly in our college. Every time they loot money from us in the name of fests and events. For students who passed the EAMCET exams, scholarships are available in our college. The government pays the college fees for those students.
