The college provides qualified teachers, but it should provide better placements for students.
Placements: There are quite a few students in our course as people don't know much about this course. The highest salary offered is Rs. 60,000 per month and the lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month. The average salary offered is Rs. 25,000 per month. Mainly pharmaceutical companies like Ranbaxy, Zifo RnD Solutions, Sun Pharmaceutical, etc., visited our campus for placements. The salary package offered ranges between 2-9 LPA.
Infrastructure: Classrooms are huge. The college provides one bioinformatics lab with a secured internet connection. It provides a separate UG and PG main library with one small department library. The college provides 3 UG, and 1 PG hostels for students. It should provide more 1 hostel for PG students. In hostel only south Indian foods are available. They should include north Indian foods as well. Canteen is very good, and it serves different varieties of food in very less time with good taste. For both shifts, there is 1 doctor always available for students. The college does not provide huge ground to conduct sports and games activities.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very helpful, highly qualified and knowledgeable. They clear doubts of students with great interest. They use effective teaching strategies like ICT technology and learning by playing method. They provide interesting projects and assignments for students. They help and support whenever needed. The course curriculum is relevant.
Other: Bioinformatics is an emerging field still people are not aware of this course, and it is a very interesting course, so I have chosen this course. It requires vast knowledge as it is an interdisciplinary field and mainly focuses on research. This course is working to develop drugs for some deadly diseases, and trying to develop techniques and method to study the evolution of human. This course needs knowledge of many programming languages which is not included in our course. To learn many wet and dry lab experiments, the college should organise workshops. The college organises many events and youth fest for the students' entertainment and to bring out their talents. The campus is vast, lush green and clean. There are banks and ATM inside the campus, and people are very easily approachable. Scholarships are given to merit and talented students and also to those whose family belong to low annual income, and for that students, free food coupons are also provided by the college. For extracurricular activities, the college has various clubs for the students to join in like folk, western dance club, NCC, NSS, dramatics club, literary, photography club, etc. College also organises intercollegiate events and students also participate in events.
