It has excellent faculty members, top placements, and vibrant campus life at TCET IoT.

Placements: In B.Tech IoT at TCET, 90% of eligible students get placed, excluding those pursuing higher studies. The highest package is 20 LPA by JP Morgan Chase & Co. The average package is 4.5 LPA. The top roles offered are data analyst, IoT engineer, and developer.

Infrastructure: The IoT department at TCET has 2 labs per 30 students, 3 classrooms, well-equipped electronics labs, strong Wi-Fi, ethernet, and a dedicated library. Hostel rooms are spacious but costly with no mess. The canteen food is tasty and affordable. Sports, medical, and yearly events like Tspark are well-managed. FE has a rolling classroom, but SE to BE enjoys cushioned seating.

Faculty: B.Tech IoT course at TCET College has qualified and supportive faculty members. It has an industry-focused curriculum. Exams are moderately tough but also manageable. With hands-on labs, projects, and good placements, the course prepares students well for industry roles.

Other: My IoT batch at TCET has top scores with more than 9 CGPA and great placements, so I chose it. More hands-on tech exposure is planned. Fiesta (FE), Sojourn (SE-BE), T-Park (sports), Entertia, Hackanova & other fests are organsied to boost learning. The campus has a great crowd and connectivity.

College is best infrastructure-wise and also provides good placement.

Placements: 32 is the total number of students in our batch. 20 Lacs is the highest package in IoT, and 44 Lacs is the highest package in our college. JP Morgan, Infosys, etc., are the recruiters in our college. 80 percent of students get internships and also get placements. The average package is 6 Lacs.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is the best in college. It is at the top infrastructure-wise. It has all the facilities, including Wi-Fi, all labs, and air-conditioned classrooms. It has a big library and also a reading room. It also has a canteen, and the food is good. It has medical facilities like a sick room.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful. They also guide us and are well-qualified and knowledgeable. The course curriculum is very relevant. It also makes students industry-ready and provides industry visits. Semester exams are good; if you study, it will be easy to get good marks.

Other: I was interested in technical stuff and was interested in this course.

Review of Thakur college of engineering and technology.

Placements: Till now, I know courses were introduced in 2020, so students are going for placement this year, and according to our class teacher Sunil, good companies are coming this time for placement in the internet of things department. As we are specializing in electronic and computer science, the small intake chances of getting placed are quite good; nearly 50–60 percent of students are likely to be placed in good companies.

Infrastructure: One thing I like about Thakur College is that it provides engineering and technology. The infrastructure is good, and the labs have at least some high-end PCs and equipment to perform Wi-Fi. Thakur College also provides a hostel at 8,000 per month, and it also has a gym in it, which is good for fitness freaks. The canteen has good varieties of food, like South Indian, etc.

Faculty: Teachers are good, and they help teach us what to do to get good marks and how to apply that in real life. Teachers are good and experienced, and the good thing is that a monthly review of teachers is taken, and it is also good that teachers come to know reviews among students. Yes, it helps because it has an innovative exam and students can develop innovation, which helps them become industry-ready. It is an autonomous college, so you can score well easily.

Other: I chose this course because the internet of things is an emerging concept, and in the future, people like me will help in this field. Overall, I think colleges have attendance issues, meaning a minimum of 75 percent attendance is needed.

Overall this college has good infrastructure and teachers, but placements are average.

Placements: Around 70-80% of students are placed. The average salary package offered is 3 LPA. The highest salary package offered is 50 LPA. Internet of Things is the new branch in this college, and students are the first batch to pass out in 2024 so, the placements are not known to students right now.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure is very good in this college. It has around 6 super-fast elevators. It has one auditorium with a capacity of 100 students. It also has one multipurpose hall with a capacity of 40-50 students. It has common rooms for students to play games like chess, table tennis, etc.

Faculty: In this college, faculty members are excellent, and they know their subjects very well and have a great teaching experience. Other than these things, all the other subjects are relevant to this field. I would rate it 4 out of 5, and teachers are good at teaching.

Good college for placements with good infrastructure, but lacks extracurricular activities.

Placements: Thakur offers 100% placement for students, which is a plus point. The highest package is 32 LPA provided by JP Morgan and the lowest is 3 LPA provided by service-based companies. In my case, both tech and non-tech companies visit for placements. The college also provides internships.

Infrastructure: The facilities are good, and the infrastructure is very good. The canteen food is not great, but the prices are very reasonable, especially for snacks which is good. The top seller is onion uttapam. Wi-Fi is available, but it is not good. Everything seems to be fine and there are many facilities.

Faculty: The teaching quality is good, but the curriculum is a bit messed up. For the starting 2 months, you don't have any exams or submissions, but at the end of 2 months, everything is paced with 3 semesters, 1 end semester, innovation exams, submissions, and many more.

Other: This course is underrated, but you should adopt this course. By this course, you can go for programming, telecommunication, and robotics.
