B.Tech. in Information Technology - Batch of 2027
3.6
College has good faculty members and placements.
Placements: Currently doing B.Tech in Information Technology, and my class consists of 26 students. In my course, 80% of the students got placed. The highest package was 32 LPA, and the minimum was 3 LPA; the average package was 8 LPA. The top recruiting companies are TCS and IBM. There are no internship opportunities provided by the college. The top roles in my course are software development, network, and app development.
Infrastructure: There is Wi-Fi present in every block, but the problem is that every Wi-Fi is very slow and hence not usable. All the labs are of good quality, with perfectly working computers; these labs have AC, and the systems are in good condition. Classrooms are of average quality; we have dust boards which may cause dust allergy to some students, and the classes are not equipped with AC. Libraries are of top quality and have a digital system which makes the usage of the library very simple. The hostel rooms are of good quality, but the food is of bad quality; there were instances where insects were found in the food. We have a doctor facility in the college at all times. We have sports teams for football, cricket, coco, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are a great help to students; all of them are qualified faculty members. The teaching quality is good. The course curriculum is relevant as it covers all the topics required for an IT professional, including all the major programming languages. The semester exams are hard and have a pass percentage of 67%.
Other: I chose this course because I have a great interest in Science and Maths. I like coding and building other web applications, which made me choose this course. The best thing about this course is that all major programming languages are covered. The things I wish to improve about this course are to remove unwanted subjects for IT professionals, like Graphics and Engineering Mechanics, which are unrelated and hence not useful to the students. The events/fests in the college are below average, with only a few events held.

I'm dissatisfied with the strict patriarchal system.
Placements: Around 100% of placements were provided the previous year. Placement cell of our college is very active and puts much effort to provide placements for all students. Students who don't get placed in the first round are given more attention to get placed in the second round.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Hostel infrastructure is average but the hostel culture is very patriarchal. Students in-time in the hostel is 6:30 PM.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are good. Our college is under APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University, the course curriculum is very hard for the students. Exam schedule is not student-friendly. I would not recommend the university.
Other: Campus life is very bad, especially for hostel girls. Our course is good.

Placements: The quality of the placements provided in our institute is good. All the students get great placements from companies like TCS, IBM, Infosys, Amazon, etc. Placement training program in co-ordination with agencies like Confidence, Insight, and Job guru.
Infrastructure: Hostels are provided for both boys and girls with the capacity to accommodate 700 students. Common facilities like mess, TV, recreation and Wi-Fi are provided. Library supports the educational mission of the college by fulfilling the information needs of its user community.
Faculty: Faculty members in our college are very good, experienced, and highly educated. They have knowledge about their respective field. Students are treated in a good manner and can clear their doubts.

It is an excellent college for students.
Placements: Around 90% of students got placed in our course. All eligible students will get good placements. The minimum salary package offered was 4 LPA. Students who have arrears are also got placements in our college. The top recruiting companies are IBM, Infosys, Sutherland, UST Global, and TCS. Our college provides placement training from the third semester, which is very useful for making our career. Internships are also offered in our college.
Infrastructure: Facilities like Wi-Fi, library, laboratory, auditorium, etc., are available. Our classrooms are well-equipped with television, systems, projectors, etc. The hostel facility is good. Seniors are also very friendly in our college.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-qualified and confident in their respective subjects. They always complete portions before semester exams and start revision classes. They teach us through smart television and diagrams are also made on board. Special remedial classes are also conducted for weak students. Motivations classes are provided for students having backlogs. Our college allows duty leave for attending workshops and internships. Our principal is very kind and supportive.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in coding, and computer technology is important for the world. We can also have good jobs with decent salary packages.

The college is good.
Placements: Good placements. Don't worry about that. The placements are good here as you can even get placed with as low as 6.5 CGPA. Many internship opportunities are provided. 100% students got placed last year. If you are looking for job after college then you will definitely get that.
Infrastructure: Hostel is average and its food is bad. Wi-Fi is present. There is no Wi-Fi and classrooms are good. Library is good. Food is actually very bad and oily. Other than that, the taste is bad. They charge 50 INR for a small bowl of chicken.
Faculty: Exams are scheduled properly. Teachers range from being excellent to be average. 2nd semester exams are difficult for me. I did have excellent teachers except some. Other than that, the college has enough resources to boost you for your future.

I am absolutely happy with what I chose.
Placements: As of my senior batch, almost everyone got placed. The placement percentage is 99%. The highest package was 40lpa, minimum was 2 LPA average is 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Amazon, Google, IBM, TCS, Wipro and Cognizant. Almost all the students got internship.
Infrastructure: There are classrooms with smart TV, etc. Labs are good. There are 2 labs for each subject. CCTVs are installed everywhere. Wi-Fi is accessible to everyone and its speed is good. Sports and events are provided like football, cricket, basketball, etc.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and they have a good reputation. We understand what they teach and they take extra classes for doubt clearing. The course curriculum is actually good. The semester exams are pretty difficult and the pass percentage is 60%. They prepare us for these type of exams.

Good placements, great teachers and peaceful ambiance. Can be a little strict sometimes .
Placements: Last year (2022), from the IT Department, more than 95% of students were placed in different companies. The packages of course vary according to the company and the offers, and I am not certain, but they do range from 4 Lacs per annum to more than 10 Lacs. Top recruiting Companies are Infosys, TCS etc.
Infrastructure: To be very honest, the infrastructure, is not very impressive. I am a day scholar and cannot accurately judge the hostel, but the classrooms, the canteen, library and the buildings I frequent are far from excellent. They work, provide the bare minimum of comfort and that's it. Wi-Fi is only available for desktops in the library and with special request in the hostel. The food in the canteen is good. You only get rice and curries. There are a couple of stores that you can get snacks at. The sports department have a lot to improve, but the management is working on that at the moment.
Faculty: I can say with full confidence that the teachers here are excellent. Most of them at least. The IT Department, which I am under, has great, qualified staff that know how to teach well. Most of the teachers, of all departments, have been helpful and always ready to answer questions and clear doubts.
Other: I chose Information Technology because I was passionate about learning and working in the IT field. I love coding and want to make it a part of my life. Improvements could be made in the scheduling of labs and lab exams. I feel like they are always rushed and a bit overwhelming. The events and fests in the college are making their comeback after the covid lockdowns. We have various texh fests organized by each department each year, along with the college fest, and other celebrations. College bands and dance teams are active and go out for competitions frequently.

I'm happy that I joined this college.
Placements: It is a great college for placements and alot of students get placed every year from most of the departments. The minimum package starts at 4 Lacs per annum to 8 Lacs. The placement percentage in our college is 70 percentage. The major companies that recruit us are UST, INFOSYS and suther land.
Infrastructure: The college is well occupied with labs from each department. Mainly consists of computer labs in the Einstein block and electrical labs in the ayabhatta block. It is decent for a private college. The hostel is well maintained, and the food is decent enough.
Faculty: The academics in this college are great and that is one of the reasons I like this college. The teachers in the first year were very helpful and I could understand everything very well. The semester exams are prepared by the kalam institute called kyu. It was kind of difficult but this is what we have to get used to since it is engineering .
Other: I chose this course mainly because of my interest in computers . The crowd is mixed with people from all over Kerala and I've made a lot of friends . The college is well-equipped with sports with a football ground and basketball indoor court.
