College is decent and good. Placement is good. The only problem is not tech fest or anything.

Placements: Mostly, the students preparing for web development get placed easily in our college. 4 LPA is the average package offered by companies. By the end of the 4th year, 99.99% of students in my course, which is computer engineering, get placed in companies, and our placement portal is also good.

Infrastructure: Our lab has Wi-Fi and AC, and the library also has lots of books. The hostel is also good, and the food is decent, but the only problem is the water issue, which we face in the hostel many times. Other classes also have projectors. Our college definitely needs a good canteen.

Faculty: Some faculty members are great, and some just explain like it's their duty and not happiness. Mid-semester exams are good, and the quality of the questions is also nice. Faculty gives us tasks like preparing a PPT and doing a presentation, and so directly helps us with interviews.

Other: I'm interested in coding, so I chose CE, and I'm not regretting it, but our college doesn't have any fest, so it is a must.

VGEC Chandkheda - Good academics and average placements.

Placements: In mechanical engineering, the highest package is around 11 LPA, and average is around 4 LPA to 5 LPA. Actually in my class, there are 160 students. ONGC, Adani, Tata Motors, Hitachi, and other top recruiting companies come to our college, and also placement rate is also good.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure of this college is good but it's very old structure. The quality of food available in the mess. Canteen is quite good, and food quality is also affordable and tasty. For sports and games, there are nets for volleyball and also for football.

Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, and their behaviour is also kind. They are very well-qualified, and they also clear every doubt we have. If we talk about difficult levels in semester, if we study then we can pass the exam. The pass percentage of this college is quite good.

Other: I chose mechanical course because I like machines a lot. Events are also organised by college, and students also get scholarships. Campus is also good, also do extra-curricular activities like NCC, NSS, etc.

Absolutely no social life, no fests or events are conducted. Faculty members are good.

Placements: 86% of students from my power electronics course were placed. The highest package offered was 6 LPA, and the lowest package was 3 LPA. The average package was 4.5 LPA. Top recruiters included Hitachi Hi-rel, Power Electronics, Newen, Mindra Green, and Multispan. I don't recall the exact percentage, but almost all students secured internships.

Infrastructure: There is no Wi-Fi available on campus or in hostels. The labs are functional, but we don't get to use them much in the first year. The library has odd hours and is rarely open. The hostels are fairly spacious compared to nearby PGs. The water shortage issue continues to persist. There is a mess, but the food is intolerable; however, the canteen is adequate. There are no medical facilities, and there is one functional badminton court and one basketball court.

Faculty: Teachers are good. They are skilled and knowledgeable in their subject. Yes, it is quite an interesting subject if one has an interest in electronics. For industry purposes, our department has signed MoUs with two leading companies in our field Hitachi and Mindra Green. Semester exams are quite moderate, if you prepare for it, you'll do good.

Placements: Around 120 students are placed in the mechanical engineering branch. This college is good for placements because 80% of students get placements. The lowest package is 2 LPA, and the highest package is 15 LPA. Companies like L&T, Adani Group, Atul, Torrent Power, etc., hire students. Students search for internships on their own.

Infrastructure: In my college, facilities are good. Our college has Wi-Fi and a good library with many books. In my college, classrooms are good. The infrastructure is good. In my college hostel, the mess food is cheap and low-quality. Rooms are of low quality. My college canteen is good.

Faculty: In our college, teachers are good. Some professors are knowledgeable, but some of them are not very knowledgeable. Some professors are good at teaching. They are helpful to students. The course curriculum is relevant, and it makes students industry-ready. The 5th and 6th semester exams are difficult in our college.

This branch is good if you are interested in working in the power generation or manufacturing field.

Placements: This college is very famous and good. This branch is also good, and it has a good placement record; 33 students are placed out of 113 students. All the students are placed in big companies like Adani Group, Maruti Suzuki, L&T, etc. Many students get the offer of an internship.

Infrastructure: This college is a government engineering college and very old, so the infrastructure is not so good, but most of the labs and instrumentation are in good condition. Smart classrooms are also available. Average hostel facilities are available for students. The mess and canteen are good.

Faculty: All the teachers are well educated from good institutions like IIT, NIT, etc. Most of the teachers have completed their Ph.D. All teachers are very supportive of any problems of the students. Curriculum relevant to industrial processes. Semester exams in college are not very tough.

Other: This course gives very large opportunities in manufacturing and production, automobiles, automation, robotics, power generation, etc. Teachers should try to give more industry knowledge. Many clouds are working on various aspects.

Placements: I was in the CSE branch. Any batch of this course has not passed yet. Still, CE department placements are average. The highest package is 10 LPA. The lowest package is 2 LPA. The average package ranges from 5 LPA - 6 LPA. Some of the best companies that recruit from my course include TCS, Accenture, and Infosys.

Infrastructure: In my course at Vishwakarma Government Engineering College (VGEC), we have well-equipped labs, spacious classrooms, and good facilities for practical learning. Our department has specialized labs that are well-maintained with modern equipment. Classrooms are spacious and have projectors for better learning. We have an auditorium/seminar hall for guest lectures and workshops. VGEC has separate hostels for boys and girls. The hostel rooms are squad, and they are decent but can feel a bit crowded. The food quality is average, with a rotating menu. Some dishes are good, but like any mess food, it gets repetitive.

Faculty: Faculty members are good. Some faculty teach very well and details with a practical approach and some just read and teach. Mostly teachers are supportive and good in the computer engineering department and information technology department. Semester exam conducted by GTU.
