It is a campus with good facilities and a supportive environment.

Placements: I am a B. Tech, Computer Science student, batch 2023–2027. Our course focuses on core CS fundamentals, programming, software development, cybersecurity, AI/ML, and emerging technologies. The college brings companies that provide an average package of 15–30 LPA. Some of the major companies that recruit from our course include Infosys, TCS, Accenture, and HCL. The top roles offered in our course include software developer, Java developer, and full-stack developer. Along with a frontend developer, backend developer, DevOps engineer, cloud support associate, and data analyst.

Infrastructure: The Computer Science and Engineering department has a modern and well equipped learning environment. It is designed to support academic and practical learning. The key facilities include spacious and ventilated classrooms with digital projectors and smart boards. It has a comfortable seating arrangements suitable for long sessions. Regular power backup for uninterrupted teaching. Computer labs for AI and machine learning. Along with database management, network security, and programming.

Faculty: The CSE department has a team of qualified and experienced faculty members. They specialize in several areas of computer science (professors with M.Tech/Ph.D. and strong research backgrounds). The curriculum is to give students a strong foundation in both theoretical concepts and practical skills. The exams include internal and end-of-semester exams.

Other: Professors with M.Tech/Ph.D. degrees and strong research backgrounds are present. Along with supportive teaching staff who provide academic guidance, project mentoring, and doubt-clearing sessions. Regular workshops, seminars, and guest lectures from industry experts are also conducted.

Faculty members are good but infrastructure of college is not so good.

Placements: I am a student of WIT, which is a campus institute of VMSB UTU Dehradun. The placement record is not so much to be delighted at this college. College claims 95% placement record but it is absolutely wrong. We have seen many left unplaced, preparing for placement or other exams.

Infrastructure: Facilities in college are decent but don't compare with what we get in private college compared to a private college. The area in which college is situated is very less. Labs are shared with other colleges, and we don't have our own labs. Computer labs in our college do not have any computers or are not in working state.

Faculty: College tries to give you real-world experiences regarding your course and make you industry-ready. For this, we can appreciate the faculty members which work very hard with students. Also, our faculty members guide us towards participating in many coding competitions to gain some experience.

Not so good infrastructure at this college.

Placements: I have just completed my first year in June 2025. After this college, I ask to do an internship in a specific field according to my interest. The college doesn't help you to find an internship. It has to be done ourselves. There are many online websites that you can refer to for the same.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of college is not so good. Classroom never gets clean after complaining.

Faculty: Faculty members also varies, there are two types of teachers means faculty members one are contact based other are permanent. The contact faculty members stay in friendly behaviour with the students while the permanent faculty members also behave in a rude and strict manner with the students. Talking about the course of this college, there are very less courses offered by college that are BCA with only 70 seats B.Tech with around 150 seats including all branches and M.Tech with 6-7 seats.

Other: There are many scholarship programs for which you can enroll if your family income is below 5 lakhs. To enroll in these scholarships, you need to have an income certificate as well as EWS certificate.

A decent college in Dehradun.

Placements: I am a first-year B.Tech student at Women Institute of Technology. Here, I have seen no placement cell for the interview purpose. Although students have to prepare by themselves for the interview and placement. The highest package from this college may be around 6 LPA to 7 LPA this year.

Infrastructure: The course of the semester is divided into two parts, even and odd. The whole criteria for passing into next semester is credit-based. You need to score minimum of 23 credits, overall in one year to get promoted to another semester. Also, it is not as challenging as the difficult level, which is moderate.

Faculty: Faculty members are mainly placed for a period of time such as for one semester which is for four months. After a particular time, these facilities are changed according to the feedback criteria, in which students themselves rate the teachers. You can also take the help of these faculty members for approaching any internships or any project making.

Review of Women Institute of Technology.

Placements: The placement record of the college is not very appreciable there is a lot of struggle as more than 60% of the total students are left unplaced every year. You need to be very focused on your academic and other skills if you want a good package from the college.

Infrastructure: About the college course, each year is divided into two semesters one is the odd semester another is even. Every semester the college gives 4-5 main subjects with credit and 1-2 side subjects which are noncredit ( does not add in your CGPA). There are separate departments with separate buildings for each semester.

Faculty: There are no good points about the faculty members as their nature are bit rude and they don't think about students' future. None of the faculty members are interested in teaching during the class hours. If we have 5 units per subject by the end of the semester faculty members only taught you 2 from them.

It is a highly recommended college.

Placements: There are many opportunities for placement in the college. The companies arrive in college for posts like manager, marketing or sales head, software engineer, etc. Your GD and skill development are a must for every interview to gain a high package.

Infrastructure: The classrooms are decent, well-furnished, and maintained properly with regular cleaning. The also consists of smart whiteboards for programming and digital teaching purposes. The college also conducts many sports events for students among different colleges to have a spirit of winning and leadership.

Faculty: The faculty members of the college are the worst. Except for faculty members, everything is great in college. They neither teach you during class hours nor do they give internal paper marks. Also, they don't conduct any physical lab sessions for students to get real-world experience.

Good sports facilities in the college.

Placements: Many internships are offered by the college itself, or you can also take any offline or online internship according to your preference. There are many online internship websites such as Internshala, Hills, etc., which provide you with internships and many other certification courses. These internships help you get better placement in the college.

Infrastructure: The college consists of many sports facilities, clubs, and societies. Majorly, the college has the IEEE Society, which mainly deals with cultural fests held in the college or any other event. It is a paid society that costs around Rs.1350 for one year.

Faculty: The examination schedule for every semester is the same. Each semester, there are two sessional tests which consist of 30 marks for theory, 10 for attendance, and another 10 for assignments. Later, an annual examination of 100 marks is conducted, in which sessional marks are also added to calculate your final CGPA.

WIT: A college in Dehradun.

Placements: There are very few opportunities for placement in this college. The college has introduced many criteria for sitting in the placement. The placement starts in the third year and the fourth year. You need to maintain your academic score to be eligible to sit in interviews.

Infrastructure: The college consists of a football crown as well as a cricket ground. In addition to this the college also has basketball and volleyball courts beside these outdoor games are available. There are also indoor sections in the college.

Faculty: The faculty members are very supportive and helpful, and also help in clearing your doubts. The faculty members also take extra classes beyond the class hours to complete the syllabus on time. The college timing is divided into three parts, majorly one for theory, one practical, and the last for extra activities.

Other: The college has many facilities that also support students in extracurricular activities, such as sports events, cultural events, etc., which helps students in engaging more.
