I have gained confidence in myself now: Rabab Jafri

After pursuing Science and Maths in class 9^th and 10^th, I knew I had an interest in these subjects and I wanted to study more about it. I got 80% in 10^th Boards and opted for PCM (Physics, Chemistry and Maths) in City Montessori School Chowk Campus. I gained knowledge and did extremely well as I ended up getting 86% in my 12^th.

I chose Amity University, Lucknow because it was convenient for me. I could not go out to study as I wanted to stay in Lucknow with my family. So, Amity University Lucknow Campus was the right choice for me. Secondly, Amity University is considered to be one of the finest institutions in the state and hence I preferred this option.

I filled the form of Amity University Lucknow Campus and I was selected because I scored 85% in my class 12^th. Amity University informed me that I got admission on merit and also that they would offer me a scholarship because of my performance in class 12^th. I got a 25% scholarship offer which made my choice easier. Since I got admission on merit, I did not have to give the entrance test or personal interview. But I was all prepared for my interview and the entrance test. I did not join any specific coaching centre and prepared on my own. I also filled the form of Lucknow University as it was my second option.

I spend most of the time in the library reading the books of my interests. Rest of the time I spend with my friends sitting around in the field or in the canteen. The campus is great I can just go around and hang out with my friends. I really like the course curriculum of the college. It not only gives you theoretical knowledge but also trains you for your future.

I was selected as an anchor in Amiphoria 2019 for our department. Amiphoria is the annual festival of Amity University, Lucknow Campus. I have taken part in singing competitions and group discussions. If given a chance I would also take part in more of content writing competition because I know it will enhance my skills in writing and improvise it.

My college life has truly changed me. I am a lot better than I was two years back. I have grown up as an individual. I have gained confidence in myself that I can do a lot of things which I did not think about back in school. I can work better and perform better.
