KIET has enhanced my personality by making me a self-dependent and confident person, says Shatanshu Agarwal

I was a JEE aspirant from my early days and wish to crack one of the top IITs of India. To fulfill my dream, I opted for PCM in 11th class and studied in Varanasi, far from my home. I took admission in a foundation course for two years in a good coaching institute. After two years of hard work, I appeared for the JEE exam but due to nervousness, I wasn't able to perform well so I dropped for a year and move to another city. 

There I took admission in a coaching institute and studied even harder to achieve my goals. This time I performed really well and then went for counselling session but I didn’t get the desired branch. So, I decided to take admission at KIET in Information Technology as it is a good college for pursuing engineering. This college is known for its academic excellence and good placement record. Also, its Information Technology department is known for its quality education and grabbing the highest package every year.

I had never planned to take admission to AKTU but destiny made me land in this college. I had given the UPSEE exam for getting admission to this college. I had scored well to get a seat in one of the top colleges of this entrance exam. I had to go through the counselling phase to get into this college with my desired branch. I had given several entrance exams like JEE Main, JEE Advanced, UPSEE, BHU Entrance Test, etc. I had opted for coaching classes to crack the JEE exam. I had tried to get admission in IET Lucknow and KNIT Sultanpur also. I wanted to get the CSE branch in these colleges through UPSEE but I could not get my required branch.

After some research, I found the KIET college. I got to know that it is one of the best colleges in business. So, I opted for it without looking for other colleges. It is not very difficult to get admission to any AKTU affiliated college and my UPSEE score made it, even more, easier for me. My journey with KIET till now has been quite amazing. I have learnt a lot and now I hope to get a good job offer to start my career.

We had classes from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm daily. I spend a lot of my time on the campus as I get to learn different things daily. In college, I have also learned to tackle difficult life situations and how to resolve them. I like to attend almost all the classes but  Mathematics is my favourite. I also like to spend time with my friends discussing coding and new technologies. 

I wanted to enhance my technical skills so, I joined the technical club of the college. I have also participated and performed in various competitions and events. If given a chance I would like to improve my coding concepts and learn various trending technologies. This college has helped me a lot in my personality development. It has made me a better person both academically and emotionally. Before joining this college, I was a coward and shy person but now I am self-dependent and confident.
