Online tests are conducted for each subject: Charika, OIST
These are first-hand student accounts on how our young population is managing to keep their exam prep or college course work going from the confines of their homes. In case you want to share your lockdown study experience, write to us at publish@shiksha.com.
Due to this pandemic situation, we were worried about how our courses would get complete, how about the exam scenario, assignments, presentations, project work, and all. But I am so thankful to our college and department faculties for helping our students to get out of this situation by making everything available from A to Z on digital portals.
This semester we have four subjects and one project. All subjects’ online classes are being held along with the e-notes, videos, and presentations which is a way so that students stay connected with the subjects and assignments are given as per the same for the topics. And these online classes are held at a regular interval of time explaining everything to students. Our course of each subject was completed by 15 April and later on carried with daily online assignments for particular subjects along with everyday time duration for submission.
Along with that, an online test was conducted for each subject. We have 4 submissions of each subject and 10 days online assignment submission along with everyday major project report submission.
Regarding the project submission, we are being asked to submit an online daily update of the project and once it is completed, the entire report softcopy of the project.
The best part that our college is playing right now is conducting various online sessions for the students to gear up their skills in the most possible way. Our HOD and faculty members are hereby sharing links with the students to enroll themselves in various online activities of their course and interests as well and to make the most use of this situation and stay positive.
The practical session is explained online by the screen share option by the faculty member and students take much interest in that and clear their doubts. A regular feedback call is being made by the subject faculty member if anyone has any doubts regarding the syllabus, subject’s projects, online courses, etc.
Seniors are taking an online session on Zoom for their juniors to help them prepare for various subjects and also to prepare them well for their upcoming placements and interviews.
Everyone is cooperating well in this situation and working well on the tasks being appointed meanwhile staying happy and positive. At the end of the day, we are ready to give exams online or offline in any way possible.
