Admissions at IIIT Bangalore are entrance-based. The National Institute of Engineering (NIE) in Mysore admits students to its undergraduate engineering programs via three separate entrance exams: JEE Main (UG), COMEDK, and CET. The minimal score required for admission varies according to the exam taken. Direct entrance to NIE is available, through management quota .
