NITs are well-known for their BTech courses and placements; the overall the highest package offered during NIT Raipur placements stood at INR 60.3 LPA for UG students as per 2025-26 report. A total of 626 BTech students were placed.

Admission to the four-year BTech course at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee International Institute of Information Technology, Naya Raipur is done through JoSAA counseling, which is conducted for candidates who qualify for the JEE Advanced exam. Candidates need to score a minimum of 50% marks in Class 12 in a relevant field from any recognized board and appear for the JEE exam to be eligible for the course.

Amity University, Raipur offer on-admission scholarships to UG students. Candidates applying for BTech courses are eligible for this scheme. The scholarship amount is based on Class 12 aggregate. Students with 93% aggregate in Class 12 are eligible for 100% scholarship. Apart from this merit scholarship, the university also offer scholarship based on CUET scores.
