Recruiters in India do not give value to online BTech courses anymore as they are not recognised by the AICTE and UGC and are considered invalid at present. The problem with online BTech degree is that it restricts your practical learning experience and limits your networking opportunities, both of which are very important in today's world to get a decent job in the market.

All of the top recruiters want a skilled pool of people who have a good knowledge of the technical know-how and have the right set of skills to be able to contribute to the growth of their business model. All of this is not possible in the online mode and hence, the recruiters do not accept students with an online BTech degree.

The clear answer to this question is no. An online BTech degree is considered invalid in India after the strict guidelines of AICTE and UGC because they give a lot of value to practical training and classroom learning, which is not possible in the online mode of learning. If we talk about the core Engineering specializations like Civil Engineering, CSE, Mechanical Engg. and Electrical Engineering, all of these require hands-on practical training to be able to gain the right set of skills needed for the workforce in the job market.

So, it is better to go for a regular offline BTech degree if you want to have a successful career in the field of engineering and technology.

The BTech Mechanical Engineering syllabus is not the same across all colleges, as every college committee sets a particular coursework pattern at the start of every academic year to be followed for the respective batch. The syllabus includes some core subjects, interesting electives, and lab work that gives detailed knowledge to the students about the workings of the field. 

JEE Advanced exam conducted by IIT Madras. Candidates can appear in JEE Advanced two consecutive times. JEE Advanced is held in CBT mode and there are 2 papers in all. Each paper has 3 sections: Physics, Chemistry and Maths. Candidates have to attempt both papers 1 and 2 to be eligible for admission to the IITs. The marking scheme and the distribution of the questions in the exam change every year.

Hi, Both these universities are located in Solan and offer the four year BTech programme across multiple specialisations. While the current and past students of Shoolini University have rated it 4.3/5 on Shiksha, those of Bahra have rated it 3.2/5 in their reviews on Shiksha. But if you compare them on the basis of their fee structure, Bahra University's fee for BTech is Rs 5 Lacs and that of SHoolini is comparatively higher at Rs 6.4 lacs.

Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), also known as JUIT Solan, basis its admission through a merit based system or entrance exams for certain courses. Undergraduate, graduate, and doctorate degrees in a variety of subjects are available at JUIT Solan. These programmes include BTech, MTech, MSc, and PhD. National-level entrance exams such as JEE Main, JEE Advanced, GATE, and so on are used to determine admissions. JUIT offer a full-time BE/BTech programme (4-Years). Students need to score highly on the JEE Main exam in order to be admitted to this program. The JEE Mains shortlisted candidates are invited for the JoSAA counselling.

Candidates willing to take admission to the BTech programme at IIIT Una must fulfil the following requirements:

• The candidate must have passed Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry & Maths with a minimum of 75% aggregate.
• Also, candidates must have valid JEE-Main ranks based on which they can apply for the common counselling process through JoSAA and CSAB.
• Lastly, selected candidates will have to report to the admission cell at IIIT Una for document verification and fee payment leading to final seat allotment.
