IIT Dhanbad has been ranked 21 in the QS WUR Ranking By Subject, and it is ranked 110 in Southern Asia and 424 in Asia by QS World Ranking 2026. NIT Raipur admission 2026 to most of the courses is conducted on the basis of valid national-level entrance exam scores. The institute accepts JEE Main score for BTech. Admission to M.Tech is through GATE scores, followed by CCMT Counselling. Similarly for MSc admission, IIT JAM and CCMN Counselling are required.
The requirement of entrance exam varies course-wise. Aspirants are shortlisted for UG programmes except BTech based on their merit. Admission in PG-level courses, such as MCA, MA, MSc is merit-based. Candidates can get admission in these courses without passing any entrance exam.
