DSSSB Exam Pattern 2025 is prescribed by the Delhi Subordinate Service Selection Board (DSSSB). The DSSSB exam pattern differs for all the posts such as TGT, PGT, PRT, AE, JE, JSA, Stenographer, Assistant Director, Manager and several others. It will be released along with the DSSSB notification on the official website. The pattern includes everything about the exam. The DSSSB Exam is conducted in two tiers. Candidates must check the pattern of the DSSSB PRT, TGT, and PGT exams to prepare well for the exam.

DSSSB exam is conducted to recruit candidates for several posts in various departments of the Government of NCT Delhi. DSSSB Exam Pattern 2025: Important Points to Note

  • DSSSB question papers for all posts are bilingual (Hindi and English) except for the language papers which are in the concerned language only
  • In case, the number of registered candidates for the postcodes whose examination pattern includes Two-Tier exams is less, the board at its discretion may not conduct the Tier-I exam and directly take the Tier-II paper
  • Skill test (sometimes also referred to as endurance test) is basically an interview round taken as per the requirement of the job applied by the candidate

Q:   What is the duration of the DSSSB 2025 AE exam?
A: 

The duration of the DSSSB 2025 AE exam (Assistant Engineer) will be 2 hours for Tier 1 and 3 hours for Tier 2. There will be two stages of the DSSSB Assistant Engineer exam, CBT 1 or Tier 1 and CBT 2 or Tier 2. The DSSSB CBT 1 2025 exam is the screening test to shortlist the candidates for CBT 2.

Q:   What is the pattern of DSSSB exam for AE (Electrical) and AE (Civil) in 2025?
A: 

There will be two stages in the DSSSB AE exam, namely CDT 1 and CBT 2. The exam pattern is provided below:

The DSSSB AE CBT 1 is the screening phase to shortlist candidates for the CBT 2 round. In CBT 1, all questions are asked in MCQ format. In CBT 1, there will be two sections: Section A and Section B, of 100 marks each. Section B will have questions based on educational qualifications in civil or electrical engineering. For each correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded, and for each incorrect answer, 0.25 marks shall be deducted. The question paper will be in Hindi and English.

The DSSSB AE CBT 2 is of 300 marks with two sections. There will be a total of 200 questions, and the duration will be three hours. Section 1 will have questions based on Civil or Electrical Engineering and section 2 will have questions based on the concepts of solving problems and comprehending texts. 1 mark will be awarded for the correct answer, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. The language of the exam will be both Hindi and English.

DSSSB Marking Scheme & Negative Marking 2025

  • One mark is allotted for every correct multiple-choice answer in the exam
  • There is a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every incorrect MCQ answer
  • No negative marking is done for descriptive questions in the exam

DSSSB 2025 Negative Marking

DSSSB Exam Pattern prescribes the DSSSB Negative Marking. According to the pattern, 0.25 marks will be deducted for incorrect answers as the DSSSB Negative Marking. Generally, one mark is allotted to one question. There will be no DSSSB Negative Marking in the descriptive type of questions.
