What is Jharkhand PECE?

Jharkhand Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (PECE) is a state-level entrance exam conducted annually by the JCECE Board for admission to various diploma programmes offered by government and private polytechnic institutions in Jharkhand. Jharkhand PECE is an offline exam of 2 hours and 30 minutes duration.  

All aspirants must check and fulfil Jharkhand PECE 2026 eligibility criteria before filling out the application form. Candidates who fail to meet the eligibility requirements will not be allowed to participate in the admission process.

The following steps need to be followed by candidates to complete the Jharkhand PECE Application Form:

Step 1: Registration
To begin with, candidates should navigate to the official website of JCECEB at www.jceceb.jharkhand.gov.in and click on the box that reads 'Click Here for All Online Application Submission- JCECEB 2026'. Next, select 'Polytechnic Entrance Competitive Examination (P.E.C.E.)' and proceed with 'New Registration'. Personal details like the candidate's name, father's name, gender, date of birth, category, mobile number, and email ID should be filled in, and the 'Submit' button must be clicked. A unique registration ID will be generated for the candidate, which must be noted.

Step 2: Application Submission
Once the candidate has successfully registered, they must visit the official website and click 'Already Registered User'. The login ID and password should be entered, and all relevant personal, educational, and communication details must be filled in. After verifying all the details, the 'Submit' button must be clicked. It is important to note that there is no provision for correcting any errors once the form has been submitted.

Step 3: Upload Documents
The candidate must upload a scanned passport-size photograph, their signature, and a left thumb impression of file size above 50 Kb. After correctly uploading the documents, the 'Proceed' button must be clicked.

Step 4: Fee Payment
Finally, an application fee must be paid as per the category the candidate belongs to. The fee structure varies for General, OBC, Scheduled Caste (SC) /Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates as well as female candidates.

Jharkhand PECE 2026 will be conducted in the following districts of the state:

• Bokaro
• Daltonganj

Candidates can choose the Jharkhand PECE 2026 exam city while filling out the application form. However, before choosing the exam centre, candidates must keep the following points in mind:

• Candidates are allowed to select two exam cities.
• Candidates cannot request to change in the exam centre after allotment.
• The exam conducting authority may change the city of a candidate depending on the number of examines from the city.
