Candidates cannot apply for RBI Assistant exam after completing Class 12. To be eligible for the exam, candidates need to be a graduate. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree, with a minimum of 50% marks in any discipline. The age of candidates should be between 20 and 28 years. Candidates born not earlier than 02/09/1995 and not later than 01/09/2003 (both days inclusive) are only eligible to apply. Candidates must fulfill the eligibility conditions inorder to be eligible for the exam.

Q:   Can reserved category candidates apply against unreserved category vacancies for RBI Assistant exam?

Reserved category candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/EWS may apply against unreserved vacancies, if vacancies have not been reserved for their category in their state. How to fill RBI Assistant Application Form 2025?

Pre-Requisites to Fill RBI Assistant Application Form

Candidates should keep the following documents ready to fill the application form:

  • Scanned images of photograph and signature 
  • Valid email ID and mobile number

Filling the detailed application form 

Once candidates are done with uploading the photograph and signature, they need to enter the educational qualification, choose exam centre for preliminary and mains exam etc. 

Preview of application form 

Before final submission, candidates should preview the application form and make corrections if any. After final submission, candidates will not be allowed to make any changes in the application form. 

Fee payment 

  • The payment can be made by using Debit Cards (RuPay/Visa/MasterCard/Maestro), Credit Cards, Internet Banking, IMPS, Cash Cards/ Mobile Wallets
  • On successful completion of the transaction, an e-Receipt will be generated
  • Candidates are required to take a printout of the e-Receipt and online application form for further records

RBI Assistant handwritten declaration needs to be uploaded while filling the application form. The handwritten declaration should be written in the candidate's own handwriting and should be uploaded in PDF form. By submitting the handwritten declaration, candidates declare that the details provided in the application form are correct and valid. To apply for RBI Assistant exam, candidates need to fulfill the required eligibility criteria. According to RBI Assistant eligibility, candidates should be between 20 and 28 years. According to RBI Assistant eligibility, they must have born between February 2, 1994 and February 1, 2002 (Both days are inclusive). Relaxation in the upper age limit is provided to candidates belonging to the reserved categories. Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50 per cent marks (pass class for SC/ST/PWD candidates) in the aggregate. They should also have the knowledge of word processing on Personal Computer (PC). Candidates should be proficient in the language (i.e. know to read, write, speak and understand the language) of the state or any of the states they are applying for. Candidates, who are in the final semester/year of graduation can also apply provisionally subject to the condition if called for an interview, they need to produce proof of having passed the graduation. The eligibility criteria is given below.

The selection process includes preliminary and Mains exams followed by a Language Proficiency Test (LPT).
