Upon successfully clearing the PIB, candidates are called for SSB Interview. Here both physical and mental abilities are thoroughly assessed. The examination authority has divided the Territorial Army exam pattern of the written exam into two papers-1 and 2.

There are qualifying marks in Territorial Army exam. To qualify the Territorial Army exam, candidates need to secure the prescribed qualifying marks. To qualify each section of the Territorial Army written exam, candidates must score 40 per cent. The overall qualifying marks in the exam is 50 per cent. Besides securing the qualifying marks, candidates are also required to secure the cut off. Those who secure both the qualifying marks and cut off are considered as qualified in the exam.
Territorial Army Exam Pattern: Marking Scheme
The score of the written exam is calculated in the following manner.
- For every wrong answer, candidates get a negative marking of 0.5 marks
- If candidates give more than one answer, then it will be treated as a wrong answer and a 0.5 mark will be deducted
- There will be a penalty for questions left unanswered
- When candidates attempt a question correctly, they score one mark
