IBPS Clerk Cut off 2025
IBPS Clerk cut off is the minimum qualifying mark that candidates need to secure to qualify for each exam stage and become eligible for selection. The cut off is released along with IBPS Clerk scorecard. IBPS Clerk prelims cut off is calculated out of 100 marks. The prelims exam comprises three sections: English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The following allowances are offered to IBPS Clerk: Dearness Allowance: This component is 4 per cent of the Basic Pay. DA depends on the CPI and is revised after every three months. House Rent Allowance: The HRA is dependent on the location of the posting. It is 8.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for Metro Cities, 7.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for cities having a population of more than 5 Lacs, and 6.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for other cities. Travel Allowance: The official tours and travels will be reimbursed by the bank. Medical Allowance: For IBPS Clerks, the amount is fixed at INR 2000. Medical allowance is provided once in a year. Special Allowance: For IBPS Clerk this amount is fixed at INR 4118.
The year-wise increment offered to IBPS Clerk is given below:
- Initial Basic Pay: INR 19,900 with a yearly increment of INR 655 for three years.
- Basic Pay After 3 Years: INR 20,900 with a yearly increment of INR 815 for the next three years.
- Basic Pay After the Next 3 Years: INR 24,590 with a yearly increment of INR 980 for the next four years.
- Basic Pay After the Next 4 Years: INR 30,550 with a yearly increment of INR 1,145 for the next 7 years.
- Basic Pay After Next 7 Years: INR 42,600 with a yearly increment of INR 2,120 for the next one year.
- Basic Pay After Next 1 Year: INR 45,930 with a yearly increment of INR 1,310 for the next one year.
- Basic Pay After Next Year: INR 47,920 (Maximum Basic Pay).
IBPS Clerk prelims cut off out of 100 is calculated in the following way:
- Candidates are required to examine all the questions as well as the answers given by them
- The marks of candidates are deducted for wrong answers in the exam
- The negative marks obtained must be subtracted from the positive
IBPS Clerk marking scheme is prescribed by the examination authority. For correct answer, one mark is awarded to candidates. For incorrect answers, 0.25 marks are awarded. The score is calculated based on the number of correct and incorrect answers. The marks obtained by candidates are normalised to calculate the scores.
