IBPS Clerk Exam Date 2024: The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) announced IBPS Clerk 2024 exam dates for prelims and mains exams. The exam dates were announced through IBPS Calendar 2024. IBPS Clerk prelims exam will be conducted on August 24, 25 and 31, 2024. The mains exam will be conducted on October 13, 2024.

IBPS Clerk notification 2024 will be released in July 2024. The application form will be released after the release of notification. Interested candidates are required to apply online for the exam. IBPS Clerk admit card will be released one or two weeks before the exam. IBPS Clerk dates highlight events such as the release of the application form, issue of admit card, and declaration of result. IBPS Clerk Dates 2023

The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) announced IBPS Clerk 2023 final result on April 1, 2024. The result was announced on the official website wherein candidates need to login with the required credentials to download the result. Candidates qualifying the mains exam are considered for final appointment. IBPS Clerk mains exam was conducted on October 7, 2023. The final appointment is done based on merit-cum-preference.

IBPS Clerk 2023 scorecard for the prelims exam was released on September 18, 2023. IBPS Clerk prelims exam was conducted on August 26, 27, and September 2, 2023. 

IBPS Clerk 2023 application form filling process closed on July 28, 2023. Earlier, the last date to fill the application form was July 21, 2023. However, the application deadline was extended by the examination authority.

The marks obtained in the prelims exam are not counted for the merit list. The marks obtained in the mains exam are counted for the merit list. The prelims and mains exams are conducted online. The selection process is carried out by IBPS. However, joining letters and verification of eligibility is done by the participating banks.

Q:   Is IBPS still taking interviews for clerk level jobs?

There is no interview in IBPS Clerk exam. The selection process comprises two stages-prelims and Mains. Candidates qualifying the prelims exam are called for the Mains exam. The final selection of candidates is done based on the Mains exam. The marks obtained in the Mains exam are not counted for final selection. IBPS Clerk Exam Date

IBPS Clerk comprises two stages: preliminary and mains. The preliminary and mains exams are conducted online. According to IBPS Clerk exam pattern, the preliminary exam consists of three sections, English Language, Numerical Ability, and Reasoning Ability. The total marks allotted to the prelims exam are 100. The mains exam comprises four sections, General/ Financial Awareness, General English, Reasoning Ability & Computer Aptitude, and Quantitative Aptitude. The test carries a total of 200 marks. Q:   What is the salary of IBPS clerk?

A:

The public sector banks in India offer lucrative salaries to Clerical cadre posts along with various perks, incentives and benefits. Therefore, the in-hand salary of an IBPS Clerk may range between INR 28,000 to 30,000 per month. The following allowances are offered to IBPS Clerk: Dearness Allowance: This component is 4 per cent of the Basic Pay. DA depends on the CPI and is revised after every three months. House Rent Allowance: The HRA is dependent on the location of the posting. It is 8.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for Metro Cities, 7.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for cities having a population of more than 5 Lacs, and 6.5 per cent of the Basic Pay for other cities. Travel Allowance: The official tours and travels will be reimbursed by the bank. Medical Allowance: For IBPS Clerks, the amount is fixed at INR 2000. Medical allowance is provided once in a year. Special Allowance: For IBPS Clerk this amount is fixed at INR 4118.

Q:   What is the educational qualification for IBPS Clerk?

A:

The educational qualification for IBPS Clerk is Graduation. Final year candidates are not allowed to appear for the exam. Candidates must have an operating and working knowledge of computers. They must have either a Certificate/Diploma/Degree in computer operations/Language or have studied Computer/Information Technology as one of the subjects in the High School/College/Institute. Candidates must have proficiency in the Official Language of the State/ UT (candidates should know how to read/ write and speak the Official Language of the State/ UT) for which vacancies a candidate wishes to apply for is preferable. Candidates must meet the educational qualification fixed by the examination authority for appearing in the exam.
