Yes, the MBBS course offered by Jamia Hamdard University is recognised by the Medical Council of India (MCI). Jamia Hamdard admission to MBBS is through NEET-UG Counselling by MCC. The NEET counselling is segregated into two categories, central or national, and state counselling. The NEET counselling process conducted by MCC is for admission to the 15% All India Quota (AIQ) seats. Once the counselling is over, MCC allots seats under different categories.

Jamia Hamdard University is recognised all across the world. It is ranked by NIRF from past three-years under the 'Medical' Category. 

Placement

Placement is an important factor for any student selecting a college. JHU placement report 2023 is not released. However, as per the Jamia Hamdard Medical NIRF report 2023, the median package offered during Jamia Hamdard MBBS placements 2021 stood at INR 13 LPA. The package is increasing every year from INR 12 LPA in 2020, it has seen a slight increase in the year 2021. Out of 148 students, 109 got placed. 

MBBS Fee

Yes, the fee for Jamia Hamdard MBBS is on a higher side. The total tuition fee for MBBS at JHU is INR 72 lakh. However, if the goal is to get a good start in the Medical career, it can be considered. Not all students can get into AIMS, hence Jamia Hamdard is a recognised university offering MBBS course. 

Jamia Hamdard University (Deemed-to-be) offers a BBA programme of four-year duration to the students. Offered via the Department of Management, the deemed university started offering this course in the year 2014. A total of 180 seats are allotted for BBA and admission is subject to the CUET-UG exam conducted by NTA. However, if seats are vacant, admission might be offered on the basis of merit in the first five subjects in the qualifying examination. Apart from regular BBA, CDOE and Jamia Kannur Campus also offers BBA in distance education and regular mode, respectively for a duration of three-years each.

MBA is one of the popular courses of Jamia Hamdard. It is a two-year course available in three major specialisations-General, Public Health Management/ Hospital Administration and Pharmaceutical Management. But is it a good college? NIRF has ranked Jamia Hamdard from past two-years under 'Management' Category. In 2023, the university was ranked at 96. However, the ranking was lower in 2022 as the university was at 100th position. Jamia Hamdard comes under the top 100 universities/ colleges offering MBA.

Curriculum

MBA curriculum of Jamia Hamdard is spread across four semesters. Students have to undergo a summer training after the second semester of the programme. Apart from this, the curriculum covers all the topic required for in-depth knowledge of the field.

Fee Structure

The total tuition fee for Jamia Hamdard MBA ranges between INR 3 lakh and INR 5 lakh as per the official website/sanctioning body. It is still subject to changes and hence, is indicative. The fee range is at medium level when compared with other top ranked colleges. 

Placements

Jamia Hamdard placement report 2023 is not released. However, according to Jamia Hamdard course-wise NIRF reports 2024, the median package offered during Jamia Hamdard MBA placements 2023 stood at INR 5.52 LPA. Students were placed in top companies.

Candidates who are applying for BTech at Jamia Hamdard do require JEE Main score for admission. Along with JEE Main, aspirants must also have passed Class 12 examination with Mathematics and Physics as compulsory subjects and one of the following: Computer Science, Chemistry, Electronics from CBSE or any other Board with at least 50% aggregate or equivalent CGPA in aggregate for admission to BTech programme.

There are theory and practical subjects included in the UG course curriculum. The four-year course is divided into eight semesters. Below are the Jamia Hamdard BPharm subjects included in first semester:

Jamia Hamdard BTech batch placed data 2023 is not released. However, according to Jamia Hamdard Engineering NIRF report 2023, a total of 175 students were placed out of 255 students during Jamia Hamdard BTech placements 2022. The trends witnessed during Jamia Hamdard BTech placements over the past three years with respect to the total students and no. of students placed are presented below:

NTA released the re-revised scorecard on July 26, 2024. In this scorecard, the score has been revised as per the Supreme Court verdict of removing the bonus marks awarded earlier for the controversial Physics question, and deducting one mark from those who marked incorrect answer options. The city and centre-wise result data such as number of candidates appeared and scores obtained, by masking candidates' personal data was released on July 21, as per the Supreme Court order given on the hearing dated July 18, 2024. The NEET 2024 result for the re-exam, which was conducted on June 23, was declared on July 1, day day after the slated date. The final answer keys for the NEET 2024 re-exam was released by June 30, ahead of the result declaration. Earlier, the result of NEET 2024 was declared by NTA on June 4, 2024, 10 days ahead of the original schedule, which was June 14, 2024. NTA released the final NEET answer keys on June 4, prior to the release of the NEET result 2024. The NEET result was declared in an online mode. Candidates have to log in with their registration credentials or application number and date of birth, and download their scorecard in PDF format. NTA also released the merit list containing the name, Roll Number, All India Rank and Percentile of the candidates. Along with the NEET 2024 scorecard, NTA also released the NEET 2024 cutoff marks or the qualifying marks/scores. 

The next CMAT exam will be held in January 2026. The NTA will start registration for the same in November 2025. Those interested in appearing for the exam are required to register for it at CMAT-NTA website and fill the online application form. The score of CMAT will be valid for one year only, so if you appear for CMAT 2026, you must take admission in the same academic year.

Apart from 1300 B-schools, the CMAT score is also valid for admission through MAH CET CAP. The Maharashtra State CET Cell conducts MBA/MMS admissions for 300 colleges in the state. It is followed by a common counselling process called CAP. CMAT test takers can also participate in MAH MBA CET CAP and secure a seat in MBA/MMS course offered by over 300 colleges in Maharashtra.

National Testing Agency will commence CUET 2026 registration in first week of March. Soon after the release of the CUET notification candidates candidates can check the important dates pertaining to CUET 2026. The last date for CUET 2026 registration will be notiifed aling with the last date for payment of fee. 

Candidats will be required to fill the CUET application form within the given time frame, failing which no request for extension of the CUET registration last date will be entertained. NTA does not provide the window for late fee payment. CUET 2026 application process will be in online mode. No physical copies of the CUET application form must be sent to the authorities.

Jamia Hamdard University offers admission to its BA courses on a merit-basis. Hence, the applicants scores in the last qualifying exam are considered. During selection, the university may give preference to the students with a CUET score or CLAT for BA LLB course. To be eligible for course, aspirants should have passed Class 12 or equivalent exam from a recognised board with required minimum aggregate. 

The eligible students can apply for admission by filling out the application on the official website. Applications are then shortlisted and merit lists are released. Shortlisted students need to participate in the counselling for seat allotment.

Jamia Hamdard accepts NEET score for MBBS, BUMS and BPharm programme. Candidates can also get admission to BPharm via JEE Main score. Apart from these, admission to all other courses is either based on other national-level entrance exam or merit in the last qualifying exam. So, the answer to the question will depend on the course one is applying for. 

Admission to courses like BSc, BA, BCom, BJMC and BBA is based on CUET-UG score. Apart from this, JEE Main is accepted for BTech programme. The selection for MBA is based on national-level Management entrance exams like CAT, CMAT, MAT, GMAT, XAT, GPAT, or ATMA.

A latest placements report is not available as of now. However, as per the Jamia Hamdard NIRF report 2024, the median package offered was INR 4.95 LPA to BPharm (UG four-year) students. Moreover, out of 130 students, 57 candidates received placement offers. Some of the companies that participate in its placements drive are Wipro, IBM, HCL, etc.
