Mystory@Suyash Jagtap: From could-be engineer to a budding chef
Actually, I wanted to do hotel management and become a one of the top chefs but my family was against it. Like all Indian parents, my parents too wanted me to do engineering. But my interest and passion lied in cooking and gastronomy so I was sure of selecting hospitality industry as my career field.
I chose Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology and Applied Nutrition (IHM), Goa.Eventually, my parents too agreed with my choice of career and gave their consent. They were impressed by my performance in the entrance exam for hotel management.
Faculty of my college is very good. In fact, the best that I have ever been taught by.
The best thing of our college is the library where all the students gain knowledge apart from syllabus.
A lot of extra-curricular activities are organized in the college which I enjoyed a lot. There used to be freshers’ parties, farewell parties, new year parties, prom nights, budding chef competition etc. A lot of sports activities were also organized in our college. The best memories of hostel life are of the prom nights on Valentine’s Day.
