The Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Exam (JNUEE) commenced on October 5, 2020, onwards and will continue till October 8, 2020. The national level entrance exam will see over two lakh applicants appear for JNUEE, which is being conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on behalf of the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). Candidates who are appearing for JNUEE, are advised to adhere and follow all the rules as mentioned on the JNUEE admit card, which is an important document which is required to be carried to the allotted exam centre.
Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, students have raised their voice on postponing the entrance exam, however, the NTA officials have ensured that there will be no overcrowding at the exam centre and all safety measures will be taken into consideration. All rooms and items will be sanitized before and after the entrance exam is conducted.

The JNUEE 2020 will be conducted over the course of three days and each day will have two shifts i.e. morning and afternoon shift. Students who are appearing for the entrance exam are required follow the social distancing norms and adhere to the regulations. Students who compromise with the safety of the students will be disqualified from the exam centre and will be barred.

JNUEE Exam Timings
Students who are appearing for the JNUEE 2020 exam, are required to be punctual and should be present at the allotted exam centre one hour before the entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted. It is always advisable to reach early, however, in this scenario, in order to ensure a smooth process and there is no overcrowding, candidates are requested to reach the exam centre one hour before the entrance exam. The gates will close half an hour before the entrance exam is scheduled to be conducted.

JNUEE 2020 Admit Card
The students are required to carry the JNUEE 2020 admit card to the exam centre in hard copy as the admit card will be scanned. Once the bar code has been approved, candidates will be allowed to appear for the entrance exam. Along with the admit card, the candidate has to also carry their authorized government ID and should also have the Arogya Setu application on their smartphones. The candidate will have entered an undertaking before being able to download the JNUEE admit card and will also have to inform the officials as well about their whereabouts.
JNUEE 2020 Exam Day Rules & COVID-19 Safety Instructions
The aspirants who are appearing for JNUEE 2020 are required to follow the rules and guidelines which will be mentioned on the JNUEE admit card. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has laid down regulations which are required to be followed to ensure a smooth process.
Before Reaching the JNUEE Exam Centre
- Keep your admit card, the government authorized ID and download the Arogya Setu application.
- Dress appropriately and DO NOT wear any footwear/shoes with thick soles and garments with large buttons.
- Leave all your electronics before entering the gate. If a candidate is caught with any electronic device, they will be disqualified immediately.
Items that can be carried
- Carry a transparent hand sanitizer (50 ML).
- Transparent water bottle
- Simple transparent pen (for rough work)
- Exam documents – Admit Card, Govt. Authorised ID and Passport size photograph.
At Time of Entry
- The candidate should always maintain a distance of six feet away from others at the exam centre.
- Follow the entry procedure as there will be ropes and markings on how to enter the exam centre.
- The candidate will have to remove their masks and will be given a three-ply mask. The candidate will also have to sanitize their hands before entering the exam centre.
- The candidate’s body temperature will be checked with a thermometer gun and will be frisked with a non-touch metal detector.
- Scan the admit card and enter the premises.
During JNUEE Examination
- Maintain social distancing and walk towards the classroom which has the respective roll number.
- Be seated at the allotted computer.
- The candidate will have to register themselves and provide the admit card to the exam invigilator.
- The candidate will be provided with A4 size plain sheets to do their rough work.
- DO NOT make any suspicious moves or any means of cheating as it will lead to the disqualification and the candidate will not be allowed to give the rest of the entrance exam.
- The candidate will not be allowed to leave the exam centre until the exam has concluded.
After the JNUEE Examination
- Once the exam has been conducted, the students will have to move out in an orderly manner.
- Candidates cannot leave their seats unless the invigilator has given clear instructions.
- The candidate will have to leave behind the admit card and rough worksheets.
- Maintain social distancing while exiting the exam centre. Apply your hand sanitizer and keep your mask on at all times.
