NIELIT 2026 Exam Centres: The official list of NIELIT 2026 exam centres, detailing the cities for the NIELIT 2026 O/A/B/C examinations, has been released by the authorities. NIELIT 2026 Zone-Wise Exam Centres: For the 2026 examination cycles, NIELIT has organised its O/A/B/C level exam centres into five geographic zones: North, North-East, East, South, and West. There are approximately 120 exam centres nationwide.
- Candidate Preference: During registration on the NIELIT Student Portal, candidates can select their preferred exam centre.
- Primary vs. Secondary Centres: Centres are categorised as either Primary (large cities/main centres) or Secondary. Exams are guaranteed at all Primary centres.
- Automatic Reallocation: If a candidate chooses a secondary centre as their first choice, they will be automatically assigned a primary centre as their second choice to ensure an available seat.
- Final Allotment: Assigned centre details are provided on the NIELIT Admit Card, typically released a few days before the session begins. For the January 2026 cycle, NIELIT admit cards were released on January 7, 2026.
The theory exams for the O/A/B/C level exam for January 2026 cycle were conducted on July 12-18, 2026 (O Level), and July 12-16, 2026 (A/B/C levels). The practical exams for the January cycle will be conducted on February 7, 2026.

NIELIT 2026 Result
The authorities will publish the NIELIT 2026 result for O/A/B/C levels on the official website. The results will be announced in the form of grades and sent to the candidates and the institutes conducting accredited courses, from which candidates must appear for examinations. About NIELIT
NIELIT stands for the National Institute of Electronics and Information Technology (NIELIT). It is an autonomous scientific society under the administrative control of the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. NIELIT offers courses in both Formal and Non-Formal Sectors. It is also one of the National Examination Bodies. NIELIT accredits organisations for conducting courses in the Non-Formal Sector. It is also rolling out IT Literacy Programmes for various state governments, targeting their employees and the general public.

The eligibility criteria of NIELIT exam varies as per the course. To be eligible for the NIELIT exam candidates must have minimum 10+2, ITI, Diploma, or a B.E./B.Tech/M.Sc./MCA.
