The MH CET Law 2025 exam for the 5-year LLB course was ranked super easy. As per the opinion of the candidates, the main exam was easily completed in the given time.

GK & Current Affairs

Slot 1: Maharashtra based questions were asked, questions related to knowledge of Books, Rivers, Courts, etc. The questions from Current Affairs sections were comparatively less. Questions on Jainism, Buddhism were asked. 

Slot 2: Questions from Static GK were asked, mostly based on Science. Current Affairs section questions were majorily put out from the year 2024 developments. 

Legal Aptitude and Reasoning

Slot 1: Principle Fact based questions, direct questions were there, based on Constitution, Polity based one liner questions were asked, Questions based on Bills, Judgement, etc were also asked.

Slot 2: Legal Reasoning section was of a moderate level, questions from Contract Law, Criminal Tresspass were asked, the question paper became surprising due to Situation based question which in turn resulted it to lengthy in comparison to Slot 1 question paper. 

English

Slot 1: English section has been easy, 2 Reading Comprehension were there, questions being asked from Direct Passages, Grammar, Tenses, etc. 

Slot 2: Questions from Tenses, 2 Passage based Direct questions, simple Antonyms and Synonyms were asked. 

Logical and Analytical Reasoning

Slot 1: In Logical Reasoning, questions from Statement Assumption, Syllogism, Coding Decoding, Clock, Direction test, etc. were asked. 

Slot 2: Around 3 to 4 questions were asked from Syllogisms, 1 question each from Clock & Calender, 2-3 questions were asked from Coding & Decoding, there was a confusing question from Seating Arrangement, other question were also asked from Analogy and Odd one out.

General Mathematics

Slot 1: General Mathematics section was also easy to attempt having questions form Profit & Loss, Ratio, Algebra, Roman, Percentage, etc.

Slot 2: The Mathematics section was again easy, questions being asked from Ratio, Proportion, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Mensuration, Pipes & Systems, etc. 

Overall, the difficulty level of the question paper was easy, however, due to the length of Slot 2 of MH CET Law question paper, exam authorities may normalize the question paper, and Slot 2 candidates may get an advantage. Based on the above given analysis, candidates scoring between 90-105 can expect their names in the first merit list of MH CET Law 5-year LLB.

In MHCET Law 2026 exam, the sectional weightage is there that helps candidates understand which topic needs to be focused in the MH CET Law Question Paper 2026 to score high in the entrance exam. The MH CET law 2026 syllabus for the 5-year LLB is of the intermediate level, whereas the syllabus for the 3-year LLB is of the graduation level.

The MH CET Law 2025 exam for the 3-year LLB course was ranked as easy to moderate.

GK & Current Affairs

Most of the questions in GK were based on the topics of static GK. It was the easiest part in the MH CET 3-year LLB exam.  For the Current Affairs part, majority of the questions were related to events that took place in 2024 like Budget, G20 summit, etc.

The questions were based on the awards and recognition, such as the Bharat Ratna Award and the Oscar Award. Olympics-related questions were also asked in this section. 

Legal Aptitude and Reasoning

In Logical Reasoning section, basic testing questions were asked related to IPC, contract law, Constitutional law, criminal law, etc. There were around 30-40 direct application based factual questions. 

In Legal reasoning, the questions were related to the Criminal Offences. Other important topics were based on Criminal Cases, IPC, CrPC, agreements, torts, etc.

English

The English section was challenging compared to last year. Around 8–10 questions were based on the Reading Comprehension section. Many questions that were asked in the exam last year were also asked this year. 

In the shift 2 of the MH CET Law 3-year LLB exam, questions were related to spelling error topic, sentence correction, parajumbles, etc. Vocabulary was difficult.

Logical and Analytical Reasoning

The Logical and Analytical Reasoning section was easy and moderate. Questions from blood relation, coding decoding, puzzles, syllogisms, etc were asked

MH CET Law 2024 5-Year LLB Analysis

As per the initial feedback received from the students who appeared for the MH CET 5-year LLB 2024 exam, the overall difficulty level of the paper was easy. Many students reported that the exam was easily completed within the allotted time. The Legal Aptitude and Reasoning section included roughly four questions related to judgments, along with a few principle-based questions.  The Mathematics section was also believed direct, which had a handful of questions on volume and speed topics. Similarly, the Logical and Analytical Reasoning section was considered to be easy by the candidates.

The MH CET Law 2024 exam for the 3-year LLB course was ranked from easy to moderate in terms of the difficulty level. As per the opinion of the candidates, the main emphasis of the question paper was on the General Knowledge and Current Affairs section. The GK and current affairs section was the easiest among all sections.

As per the opinion of candidates, the Day 2 test of the MH CET Law 2024 3-year LLB was more difficult than the test conducted on Day 1. The overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate.

Read the opinion of candidates for MH CET Law 3-year LLB below:

  • The Logical and Analytical Reasoning was the easiest part of the exam. However, many candidates considered English and Legal Aptitude and Reasoning as the toughest sections of the question paper in shift 1 of the Day 2 test because these sections were time consuming. It took a long time for candidates to solve these sections.
  • In Logical Reasoning section, questions were related to Blood Relation and Syllogism topics. The Logical Reasoning questions were related to math, which was a new addition to the topics on which questions are asked in the MH CET Law 3-year LLB exam. 
  • In the Legal Aptitude section, the questions were related to Criminal Breach vs. Trust Breach topic.
  • The questions related to the Oscars were also asked on Day 2 in 2024 exam. Thus, the Oscars Award was the key topic for the General Knowledge section in 2024. Current Affairs-based questions were based on the events took place in the years 2020, 2021, and 2022.
  • In the second shift of the Day 2 exam, English and Logical Reasoning were the easiest sections in the MH CET Law 2024 3-year LLB exam.
  • According to candidates, General Knowledge was the toughest section in shift 2. The overall difficulty level of the shift 2 question paper was easy
  • Sports-related questions were also asked in Current Affairs section.

What is a Good Score in MH CET Law?

Candidates appearing for the MH Law CET exam would look for a safe score so as to ace the exam and secure a place in top Law Colleges. So given below is the general idea of what constitutes a good score in MH CET Law, based on previous year trends and analyses:

  • Very Good Score: 99+ marks is generally considered to be a very high percentile. Aiming above 95 might increase the chances to get admission to the best Law colleges.
  • Good Score (for mid to top-tier colleges): Scores in the range between 90-110 often result in a percentile of 95-99, which can qualify you for many good law colleges. A rank within the top 1500 is often associated with these scores.
  • Average Score: Candidates having scores between 80-100 (approximately 80-95 percentile) might give you a chance at mid-tier colleges, depending on your category and seat availability.
  • For Reserved Categories: Candidates from SC, ST, or OBC categories might get you into good law colleges even with the lower scores (around 90-100 for a good percentile) given the reservation policies.

MH CET Law exam lasts for 2 hours. The test held online in computer-based mode. You must answer 150 questions in that time. Each question carries one mark, and there is no negative marking. Manage time well because once timer ends, paper auto submits.

Yes, six months is a good time to prepare for the MH CET Law exam. It gives enough days for both 3-year and 5-year LLB courses. Study daily with focus on Legal Aptitude, Logical Reasoning, and English. Keep giving mock tests often.
