The KLEE exam conducted once in a year for the admission to the 3 years LLB, 5 years LLB and LLM courses.

The Kerala Law Entrance Exam 2026 application form for 3-year LLB and 5-year LLB programmes will be released on the official website of CEE Kerala, cee.kerala.gov.in. Candidates need to note that the KLEE 2026 application form forms for 3-year LLB, 5-year LLB, and LLM courses are different. All the important dates related to the KLEE application forms will provided here, once the application process starts:

All types of supernumerary seats, the remaining seats including Govt. merit seats in private self-financing law colleges will be distributed as per the mandatory reservation principle as follows.
(A) State Merit (SM) - 60%
(B) Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) - 30%
(C) Scheduled Castes & Scheduled Tribes - 10%
          a. Scheduled Castes (SC) 8%
          b. Scheduled Tribes (ST) 2%

KLEE notification 2026 is expected to be released in May. The notification will be released on the website- cee.kerala.gov.in/cee

The Kerala Law Entrance Exam (KLEE) is conducted by Commissioner of Entrance Examinations, Government of Kerala for admission to the three-year and five-year LLB.

The Entrance Examination for admission to the LLM curse is a Computer Based Test (CBT). The Questions of the Entrance Examination is of objective type. The questions shall be of the standard of LLB Examination. The LLM paper has 2 parts - part A and part B. There are a total of 200 questions in the exam. Part A has 100 questions and part 2 has 100 questions. Part A has 4 sections and Part B has 6 sections.

Part A of KLEE: 

Part A on KLEE LLM syllabus has the following topics: 

• Jurisprudence
• Constitutional Law
• Law of Crimes
• Law of Contract

Part B of KLEE:

In Part B of KLEE syllabus for LLM, the following topics are included: 

• Public International Law
• Administrative Law
• Law of Property
• Company Law
• Interpretation of statutes
• Law of Torts

The CEE Kerala examination board will conduct the KLEE LLM 2026 exam tentatively in August 2026 in a computer based mode at the designated centres across the state. 

KLEE 2026 General English syllabus has the following topics-

• Reading Comprehension,
• Word Usage,
• Vocabulary,
• Grammar,
• Inference-based questions,
• Synonyms,
• Antonyms,  
• Foreign Words/Phrases,
• Para Jumbles, etc.

The Kerala Examination Authority will release the KLEE admit card in online mode only. KLEE admit card will have important information written on it including candidate's name, roll no., venue of the examination, reporting time, etc. Candidates will have to carry one valid ID proof along with the KLEE admit card to the exam hall. 

KLEE Entrance Exam is conducted for admission to 3-year LLB, 5-year LLB, and LLM in Kerala's government law colleges and government merit seats in private self-financing law colleges.

The KLEE 2026 Exam Pattern for 5-Year and 3-Year LLB is given below.

The KLEE cutoff is calculated based on the given factors.

• Number of Candidates Appearing.
• Difficulty Level of the Exam.
• Seats Available.
• Category-wise Reservations.
• Previous Year Trends. 

There will be separate category–wise list in KLEE 2026 for Community reservation, Special reservation, Persons with Disabilities, and EWS reservation. Candidates are advised to verify the various merit/category lists published by the Commissioner for Entrance Examinations, and satisfy themselves regarding their position in the list, such as, inclusion under different categories, eligibility for communal/special reservation, etc. 

A score above 250 is considered good in the KLEE Exam. The minimum cutoff marks vary by candidate's category.

The documents required to produce at the time of KLEE admission process date sheet and date of birth certificate. Other documents include passing certificate and eligibility proof.
