Topics Asked in the Question Paper

GK & Current Affairs

Maharashtra-based questions were asked, questions related to knowledge of Books. Questions from Static GK were asked, mostly based on legal knowledge. Current Affairs section questions were mainly based on recent developments. 

Legal Aptitude and Reasoning

Direct questions were there based on the Constitution, legal maxims, Bills, Judgement, etc. Principle Fact based questions were also asked. The Legal Reasoning section was of a moderate level. Questions from Contract Law, Criminal Tresspass were asked.

English

This section was quite easy and direct. It has 2 Reading Comprehension. In the Grammar section, questions from Direct Passages and Tenses were seen. Antonyms and Synonyms were asked. 

Logical and Analytical Reasoning

Surprisingly, this section was also Easy. In the Logical Reasoning, questions from Statement Assumption, Syllogism, Coding Decoding, Clock, Direction test, etc. were asked. Only 1 or 2 tricky questions had been given in the exam. 

Basic Mathematics

This section also had a lot of direct questions. Questions form Profit & Loss, Ratio, Algebra, Roman, Percentage, Ratio, Proportion, Percentage, Profit and Loss, Mensuration, Number system were asked from the candidates. 

Overall, the difficulty level of the question paper was Easy to Moderate. Based on the above given analysis, candidates scoring between 100-110 can expect their names in the first merit list of MH CET Law 5-year LLB.

What is a Good Score in MHCET Law Exam?

A good score in MH CET Law defines whether a candidate holds the chance of getting admission in top colleges:

  1. Very Good Score: 100+ marks is generally considered to be a very high percentile, and ensures chances of getting admission to the Law colleges.
  2. Good Score (for mid to top-tier colleges): 90+ marks would lead to a percentile of 95-99, which can qualify you for many good law colleges. A rank within the top 1500 is often associated with these scores.
  3. Average Score: Candidates having scores between 80-100 (approximately 80-95 percentile) might give you a chance at mid-tier colleges, depending on your category and seat availability.
  4. For Reserved Categories: Candidates from SC, ST, or OBC categories might get you into good law colleges even with the lower scores (around 90-100 for a good percentile), given the reservation policies.

In the MHCET Law 3-yr LLB exam, if a candidate gets 100  to 115 questions right, then he/she holds high chances of getting admission to top colleges. However, a good attempt can be somewhere between 92 to 110 questions out of 120 questions.

As per the initial student reaction, the MHCET Law 2026 3-year LLB entrance exam was of an Easy to Moderate difficulty level. The English section was easy and less questions were asked from the current affairs section this year.

The MH CET Law application form 2026 for 3-year LLB was released on January 8, 2026 and the window was open till March 3, 2026. The 5-year registration window was open until March 31, 2026.

SGBAU MH CET Law cutoff 2025 was 76.78 for the BA LLB course in the 3rd round. In 2024 and 2023, the cutoff was 35.86 and 55, respectively. As per these cutoff ranks, we can see that the cutoff trend has seen fluctuation.

Yes, the state CET Cell Maharashtra extended the deadline. As per the revised dates, the MHCET Law application form for the 5-yr LLB course was available till March 31, 2026.

The last date to make changes to the MH CET Law application form for the 3-year LLB course was March 11, 2026. Post this date, no candidate will be allowed to make any corrections. No application fee will be accepted after this date for the 3-year LLB course.
