Q. What were the GD topics at the time of your admission?

A.

It was all about Demonetization and immediate currency change.  

Q. What were the focus areas during your GD preparation?

A.

I watched news channels to gather knowledge. Along with this, I was also regularly reading newspapers and articles to improve my vocabulary and writing skills.

Q. What methods did you use to prepare for your GD?

A.

I read the newspaper in order to be updated on current affairs. I also watched YouTube motivational videos to gain knowledge and confidence.

Q. Did you take any help (coaching centers/materials) to prepare for your GD?

A.

I did not take any coaching classes but I sought help from my friends who have already appeared for GD.

 My overall strategy was to be confident while answering and if there was something I didn’t know, I would clearly convey the same instead of beating around the bush. 


Q. How many panelists and participants were there?

A.

Panelists - 3

Participants - 15

Most of the participants were fresh graduates while a few of them were experienced ones.

Q. Who were the panelists in your GD & PI? How difficult were they to tackle? What was your overall strategy to tackle the panel and what worked?

A.

All the three panelists were from management background. They weren’t very strict. They were paying attention to all the points which we were discussing. My overall strategy was to be confident while answering and if there was something I didn’t know, I would clearly convey the same instead of beating around the bush.

A.

2. Why did you choose MBA?

3. Why are you choosing this college?

4. What are your future goals?

Q. How did you prepare for your PI?

A.

I surfed the internet for help. I watched videos related to various topics and worked hard to improve my communication skills and confidence.

Q. What strategies (books/reference materials/coaching) did you apply for preparation of PI?

A.

I read books which were referred by my friends who are doing MBA. I also read the newspaper.

Q. Did you happen to panic at any given pint of time during the GD & PI? Any particular moment in which you wanted to go back and change or may perform better?

A.

It was all okay.

If I get a chance, I would like to fo for GD again as I was a bit nervous since there were experienced candidates also in the GD session.

Q. How was your overall GD & PI experience?

A.

It was very good and I had a great experience. This was the first time I interacted with so many people at one time. Also, the panel members were good.

 

Q. What tips do you have for the aspirants appearing for GD & PI?

A.

It is very important to read the newspaper daily. Watch motivational videos on YouTube, and do keep a regular track of the changes made by the government.

Q. What is the one lesser-known fact about GD & PI?

A.

You should use the exact figures and facts in GD. Be confident and do not panic.

Graphic Era University was ranked #52 by NIRF in 2025 under the 'Management' category. The latest ranking information is yet to be released. As compared to NIRF 2024 rank, the university climbed 7 positions from #59 in 2024 to #52 in 2025.

Graphic Era University, Dehradun offers BTech admission based on GECET scores. It is another pathway for selection. However, the selection is also based on JEE Mai score and merit in the last qualifying examination. Besides, it is also important that the students meet course eligibility criteria.

Graphic Era University has been ranked by NIRF and Times in the 'Engineering' category. Its 2026 rankings are still awaited. The university secured 52nd position in the NIRF 2025 rankings. It was ranked by Times in 2023 at #27 position.
