TISSNET 2024: Things to do on the exam day

  • TISSNET 2024 Admit Card: The first and the most important thing to do on your exam day is to carry your TISSNET admit card. Candidates must not forget to carry their admit cards to the exam centres. It is the most important as well as a mandatory document as without it, candidates will not be permitted inside the exam centre. The candidates will have to present the admit cards to the invigilators during the exam to validate their attendance.
  • Photo Identity Cards: Along with the TISSNET admit card, candidates have to carry at least one photo identity proof (original and photocopy) to the TISSNET exam centre. Some of the acceptable identity documents include Aadhaar Card or Voter ID or Passport, Driving Licence, and College/University ID.
  • Reach Centre on Time: Candidates must ensure that they report to the exam centre at least one hour prior to the commencement of the exam to complete the identification process. Hence, they must plan their day accordingly. Since the exam will begin at 2 pm, candidates must leave their homes well in advance keeping in mind the traffic they might face on their way to the centre.
  • Maintaining COVID-19 Safety Protocol: Owing to the COVID-19 pandemic situation, candidates have to mandatorily follow the safety protocols, which include wearing a mask throughout the duration spent in the exam hall, maintaining social distancing norms and carrying personal hand sanitiser (50 ml) and transparent water bottle.
  • Follow Instructions: Once candidates enter the exam hall, they must follow each and every instruction of the invigilator. In case they fail to follow the instructions by officials, they stand a chance of getting disqualified from taking the test.

TISSNET 2024: Things to Avoid on the exam day

  • Do not Carry Restricted Items: Candidates are not allowed to carry mobile phones, calculators or any other kind of gadgets to the exam hall. They should also ensure not to carry any books or notebooks inside the exam hall apart from the permitted items which are mentioned in the section above. Before entering the centre, test-takers have to hand over these restricted personal items to their parents or friends accompanying them, otherwise, deposit those outside the exam hall as per the instruction of the test centre authorities.
  • Avoid Last Minute Studying: Candidates should not study a new topic or revise a weak area in the morning as it will only bring in more anxiety and confusion. Hence to avoid this, TISS aspirants should focus on the topics that they have covered their preparation in the last few months.
  • Do not Panic: Candidates should not hustle or panic in the last few hours of the exam day. They must relax and be calm and composed to focus on the exam. It is important to maintain composure to score well in TISSNET. Panicking will only result in silly mistakes which will result in low scores.
  • Do not Go Overboard in Answering or Attempting Questions: While attempting the questions, test-takers should not spend much time on one question. In case they find it difficult, they should skip it and come back later if time permits. Time management is crucial in TISSNET as the total duration is 100 minutes and the sections are not time-bound.
