GNDU GMET 2026 counselling process for MBA specialisations will be conducted offline tentatively in third week of July 2026. Candidates who will make it to the merit list of GNDU GMET 2026, will be eligible for the counselling process, which includes Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). The University will make arrangements for the conduct of GMET counselling as per government COVID-19 guidelines. It will be conducted for separate batches of students in the three slots.

Guru Nanak Dev University (GNDU) conducts counselling of GMET qualifiers for admission to MBA, MBA (Financial Services) and MBA (Marketing and Retail Management) courses. The counselling process is conducted after the declaration of GNDU GMET result.

GNDU GMET 2026 Counselling: Registration Process

Before registering for GNDU GMET 2026 counselling, candidates must keep the following documents ready:

Candidates selected for GNDU GMET counselling process must carry the following documents (original and photocopy) for the GD/PI round.

  • Admission fee INR 80,000 (Approximately)
  • Printed admission form
  • Class 10 and 12 marksheets
  • Graduation degree/marksheet
  • Proof of date of birth
  • Two passport size latest photographs
  • Address Proof (Adhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, Passport)
  • GNDU GMET 2026 Admit Card
  • GNDU GMET 2026 Score Card
  • Punjab Residence certificate in the format mentioned in the prospectus
  • Reserved category certificate (if applicable)
  • Border area certificate (if applicable)
  • Rural area certificate (if applicable)
  • Sports certificate (if applicable)
  • Medical certificate (if applicable)
  • Self-declaration by parents
  • Self-declaration by student

Once the counselling dates are announced, the GNDU GMET qualified candidates have to register for the process on the official website of GNDU. Check below the steps to register:

GNDU GMET 2026 will be conducted over three days in multiple slots. The schedule of GNDU GMET 2026 counselling will be announced along with the notification. GNDU GMET counselling will be held in third week of July 2026. Candidates will have to report at the alloted centre at the given date and time.

GNDU GMET Counselling 2026: Tie Breaking

In case two or more candidates score equal marks in GNDU GMET 2026, the merit list will be prepared in the following order:

  • The candidate who obtained higher marks in GNDU GMET will be selected
  • The elder candidates will get priority in case of a tie

GNDU GMET Counselling: Important Instruction

  • Candidates appearing in GD/PI need to carry with them the original copies of all the documents required
  • All candidates shortlisted for GD/PI have to appear in person. In case of the candidate’s absence, their participation will be cancelled.
  • If the number of qualifying candidates is more than the seats available, the University will select the candidates on the basis of merit in the GNDU GMET 2026.
  • Candidates selected for admission in GNDU GMET counselling have to deposit the admission fee within two working days

No, there is no sectional time limit in GNDU GMET 2026 exam. Candidates can attempt any section of GNDU GMET at any given point of time. GNDU GMET is conducted for a duration of 150 minutes. Candidates can switch between sections of the questions papers without any restrictions.
