As per the students reactions, in JEE Main 2023, April 12, Shift 1, the mathematics paper was the toughest among the three. Physics was easy, and chemistry was moderate. 

JEE Main score is actually the marks obtained by a candidate in the question paper. The score is calculated after considering the number of incorrect and correct options marked in the exam. The rank is awarded to a candidate after considering the overall scores of candidates in the JEE Main.

the All India Rank (AIR) of a candidate is actually the CRL or common rank list. However, reserved category candidates have also been allotted ranks as per their categories. So whatever is your CRL rank in JEE Mains, it may climb up in the category-based AIR list. Candidates must be very careful while filling the choices of courses and colleges during JoSAA counselling. They must choose a course or institute as per their AIR and category rank in JEE Main. 

For JEE Main, CRL can be defined as the Common Rank List that includes all the students with their ranks who had qualified for the exam. The rank of a student in JEE Main CRL is his/the rank that the student has secured in the exam on the basis of marks in the exam among all the test takers (irrespective of category).

Candidates must have a rank around or less than 3000 in JEE Main for admission to IIT Bombay. For admission to Computer Science, candidates are required to have a rank less than 100 in JEE Main entrance test.

At 40 percentile a student rank will be around 4k-5k. At this rank getting a good NIT is not possible but he or she can get some lower NIT with a lower branch. Also the 17% female reservation will be beneficial for a student.

As per students reactions, mathematics is the most difficult section to score. In today's exam, Shift 1, students felt mathematics was tough and lengthy. The aptitude test, which is the most scoring subject in JEE Main for B. Arch and B. Plan., should be given due focus by candidates.

JEE Main eligibility criteria require candidates to fulfil multiple aspects to become eligible to appear for this national-level engineering entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2023 candidates is as follows:

The eligibility criteria are decided by the Council of Architecture for admission to BArch. course other than NITs, IIITs, CFTIs: “No candidate shall be admitted to architecture course unless she/he has passed an examination at the end of the qualifying examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate of the qualifying examination”.

The number of attempts allowed in JEE Main - A candidate is allowed to attempt the exam for three consecutive years. JEE Main exam will be held twice a year- January and April. Thus, the number of attempts will be 6 in total – two times each year for 3 years.

In case an aspirant wants to take more attempts then he or she has to appear for JEE Main consecutively (back to back) in three years. This means one cannot take a gap year in the attempt.

Topics asked in Physics were from chapters Kinematics, Laws of Motion, Rotational Motion, Magnetism, SHM & Waves, Electrostatics, Current Electricity, Ray Optics, Wave Optics, Semiconductors and Modern Physics. Assertion -Reasoning questions had mixed concepts.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) released the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main Session 2 admit card for April 15 exam today (April 12, 2023). Once released, candidates will be able to download the JEE Main session 2 April 15 admit card from the official website – jeemain.nta.nic.in 2023.

The Bombay High Court will hear the plea for the removal of JEE Main 75 per cent eligibility criterion tomorrow (April 13, 2023). The PIL Stated, "The marks scored by them is not a true reflection of their actual ability therefore those students with less marks than the eligibility criteria (75%) for this year’s examinations can score very high marks in the upcoming JEE Main 2023, and if a fair chance is denied to them that will affect the future (of) lakhs of bright (students)."

As per the experts, Shift 1 in Physics was rated as easy on the difficulty level. Some of the questions were moderate. Most of the questions were NCERT based and were evenly distributed among all major units.

As per Chemistry expert, Chemistry was rated as the easiest section. The number of questions in Physical Chemistry was more than Inorganic Chemistry and Organic Chemistry.

JEE Main April 11 Question Paper Shift 1 and 2

JEE Mains 2023 Shift 2 begins at 3 p.m. The exam will be of 3 hours duration and conclude at 6 p.m. The first shift was conducted from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

Overall, JEE Main 2023 of April 12 was a balanced paper. Average students found Mathematics difficult. The difficulty level-wise order according to the students is Mathematics > Chemistry > Physics

NTA has not specified the JEE Main 2023 session 2 result date yet. However, NTA is expected to release the JEE Main 2023 session 2 result tentatively in the fourth week of April. Candidates will be required their application number and password/date of birth. 

In Today's JEE Main Exam 2023, Chemistry was Easy to Moderate. Inorganic Chemistry was given more weightage compared to Physical & Organic Chemistry. Numerical Based questions were mostly from Physical Chemistry – Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, Ionic Equilibrium. Questions also asked from Chemistry in Everyday Life, p & d block, Phenols, Coordination Compounds. Some mixed concept questions were asked in Organic Chemistry involving Amines, Aldehydes & Ketones, Biomolecules, Polymers. Some students reported Match the following questions in Inorganic Chemistry as time consuming and tricky. Organic Chemistry was reported tricky.

Mathematics had total 30 questions – Sec-I had 20 Multiple choice questions with Single correct answers & Sec-II had 10 Numerical based questions out which only 5 had to be attempted. Marking scheme for multiple choice questions was 4 for correct response, -1 for incorrect response, 0 if not attempted. Marking scheme for numerical based questions was 4 for correct response, -1 for incorrect response and 0 in all other cases. Total marks of this section were 100.

Mathematics was Moderately Tough. Questions were asked from all chapters with emphasis on Chapters of Coordinate Geometry & Calculus. Mixed Concept Questions were asked from Circles, Ellipse, Hyperbola. In Algebra chapters covered where Vectors (2 questions), 3 D Geometry (3 to 4 questions), Binomial Theorem, Progressions, Matrices, Mathematical Reasoning, Statistics (2 questions), Permutation & Combination, Probability. In Calculus- Functions (3 questions), Definite Integrals (2 questions), Area, Differential Equations. Numerical Section had lengthy calculations. Few questions were reported as Tricky.

As per the students reactions, the overall difficulty level of Physics paper was easy. Some felt moderate. Physics section was similar to previous days shift. It was completely theory based. Topics asked were moment of inertia, unit dimension, modern physics, magnetic waves, optics, thermodynamics, communication systems, etc.

NTA will also allow candidates to raise objections in the JEE answer key till a specified date. Applicants have to pay INR 200 per question to raise objections in JEE answer key 2023. After reviewing all objections, the exam authority will release the JEE Mains final answer key along with the declaration of the result.

NTA will release the JEE Main 2023 April 15 admit card today at the official website. Applicants appearing in the exam will be able to download their JEE Main 15 April admit card through application number and password. Candidates will be required to carry their JEE Main admit card along with one valid photo ID proof and self declaration certificate. 

NTA will release the JEE Main 2023 qualifying cutoff along with the declaration of the result. Applicants appearing in the exam will be able to check JEE cutoff 2023 mentioned in the scorecard. Candidates can check JEE Main 2023 expected cutoff marks from the table given below.

• Candidates must note that JEE Mains Admit Cards will not be sent by post.
• In no case, the duplicate Admit Card for Joint Entrance Examination (Main) 2023 would be issued at the Examination Centres.
• The candidates must not mutilate the JEE Admit Card or change any entry made therein.
• Candidates are advised to preserve their JEE Main Session 2 Admit Cards in good condition for future reference.
• No Admit Card shall be issued to the candidates whose applications are found to be incomplete for any reasons (including indistinct/ doubtful photographs/unsigned  Applications) or who do not fulfil the eligibility criteria for the examination. 

NTA is conducting JEE Mains 2023 paper 2 exam today. Applicants appearing in the JEE Main B Arch exam have to carry their geometry box, colours and other items at the exam centre. JEE Main paper 2 will be conducted for a duration of 3 hours 30 minutes.

NTA is conducting JEE Main 2023 exam for session 2 on April 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15. Candidates can check the JEE Main 2023 marks vs percentile from table given below

• Enter the application number and password/date of birth in required fields.
• JEE Main scorecard will appear on the screen.
• Download JEE scorecard for future reference. 

National Testing Agency released the JEE admit card 2023 on April 3 at the official website. Applicants appearing in the exam have to carry their JEE Mains 2023 admit card along with one valid photo ID proof at the exam centre. Candidates also need to carry JEE Main self-declaration certificate at the exam centre. Candidates will not be allowed to enter inside exam hall without a valid JEE hall ticket 2023. 

NTA has concluded the JEE Main session 2 registration on March 16. Successfully registered candidates can download the JEE Mains admit card 2023 through application number and date of birth. JEE Main 2023 registration for session 2 were available in online mode only. 

NTA is conducting JEE Main 2023 session 2 exam on April 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15. JEE Main 2023 exam is being conducted in online computer-based mode in two shifts. After the conclusion of the exam, the exam authority will release the JEE Mains 2023 answer key at the official website. Applicants will be allowed to raise objections in the JEE answer key till a specified date.

NTA has commenced the JEE Main 12 April shift 1 exam at 9 AM. Applicants appearing in the exam have to carry their jeemain nta nic in 2023 admit card along with one valid photo ID proof. NTA will conclude the JEE Main 2023 shift 2 exam at 12 noon. After the conclusion of the exam, applicants will be able to check JEE Main 12 April shift 1 question paper along with exam analysis. Various coaching institutes will also release the JEE Main 2023 question papers on the basis of memory-based responses from students.

NTA has not released the result date of JEE Mains 2023 session 2 yet on the official website. Applicants appearing in the session 2 exams will be able to check JEE Main session 2 results tentatively by the fourth week of April. The exam authority will release the JEE Main result in the form of percentile score. NTA will convert the JEE Main 2023 raw scores into normalized marks. 

NTA will commence the JEE Main 12 April shift 1 exam at 9 AM. The exam authority will conclude the JEE Mains 2023 shift 1 exam at 12 noon. Applicants will be able to check JEE Main 2023 question papers and exam analysis after the conclusion of the exam. Various coaching institutes like Resonance and Reliable Kota will also release the JEE Main 2023 April 12 question paper with answer key on the basis of memory-based responses from candidates.  

Applicants are now allowed to carry rough sheets inside the JEE Main exam centre. Candidates will be provided with rough sheets at the start of the exam. Applicants are advised to write their roll number, application number and password. At the end of the exam, candidates have to hand over the Rough Sheets to the Invigilator on duty in the Room/Hall.   

NTA will release the JEE Main cutoff 2023 along with the declaration of results. The cutoff of JEE Main 2023 is the minimum mark required to qualify for the exam. NTA JEE Main cutoff will be released separately for all the categories. Candidates can check the JEE Main previous year cutoff from the table given below.  

NTA is conducting the JEE Main 2023 session 2 exam on April 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15. The exam authority will release the JEE Main 2023 session 2 statistics along with the declaration of the result. As per the reports, it is expected a total of approximately 8.5 lakh candidates are appearing in the session 2 exam. As per the statistics,  a total of 8.6 lakh candidates registered for the JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam out of which 8.22 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. JEE Main 2023 session 1 attendance was 95.79%.
