JEE Main 2023 Exam Day Guidelines
Candidates are advised to follow all the exam day guidelines and instructions as mentioned in the JEE admit card session 2.
- Applicants must reach the JEE Main exam centre atleast 60 minutes before the commencement of the exam.
- Candidates will be required to carry their JEE Main Hall ticket 2023 along with one valid photo ID proof.
- Do not carry any item restricted inside the exam centre.
- Candidates will be provided fresh masks at the exam centre. Applicants personal masks will be disposed at the exam centre.
JEE Main Session 2 Exam Date 2023
NTA JEE Main 2023 session 2 exam is being conducted on April 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15. The exam is being held in 330 cities across the country and 15 cities outside India. NTA is conducting JEE Main 2023 exam in online computer-based mode.

JEE Main 2023 April 12 Exam Analysis LIVE: Eligibility Criteria for BArch and BPlan
JEE Main eligibility criteria require candidates to fulfil multiple aspects to become eligible to appear for this national-level engineering entrance exam. The eligibility criteria for JEE Main 2023 candidates is as follows:
The eligibility criteria are decided by the Council of Architecture for admission to BArch. course other than NITs, IIITs, CFTIs: “No candidate shall be admitted to architecture course unless she/he has passed an examination at the end of the qualifying examination with 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and also 50% marks in aggregate of the qualifying examination”.
The number of attempts allowed in JEE Main - A candidate is allowed to attempt the exam for three consecutive years. JEE Main exam will be held twice a year- January and April. Thus, the number of attempts will be 6 in total – two times each year for 3 years.
In case an aspirant wants to take more attempts then he or she has to appear for JEE Main consecutively (back to back) in three years. This means one cannot take a gap year in the attempt.

The PIL Stated, "The marks scored by them is not a true reflection of their actual ability therefore those students with less marks than the eligibility criteria (75%) for this year’s examinations can score very high marks in the upcoming JEE Main 2023, and if a fair chance is denied to them that will affect the future (of) lakhs of bright (students)."

NTA will commence the JEE Main 12 April shift 1 exam at 9 AM. The exam authority will conclude the JEE Mains 2023 shift 1 exam at 12 noon. Applicants will be able to check JEE Main 2023 question papers and exam analysis after the conclusion of the exam. Various coaching institutes like Resonance and Reliable Kota will also release the JEE Main 2023 April 12 question paper with answer key on the basis of memory-based responses from candidates.

Can I carry rough sheet inside JEE Main 2023 exam centre?
Applicants are now allowed to carry rough sheets inside the JEE Main exam centre. Candidates will be provided with rough sheets at the start of the exam. Applicants are advised to write their roll number, application number and password. At the end of the exam, candidates have to hand over the Rough Sheets to the Invigilator on duty in the Room/Hall.

How many marks are required to clear JEE Mains?
NTA will release the JEE Main cutoff 2023 along with the declaration of results. The cutoff of JEE Main 2023 is the minimum mark required to qualify for the exam. NTA JEE Main cutoff will be released separately for all the categories. Candidates can check the JEE Main previous year cutoff from the table given below.

How many students appeared for JEE Mains 2023
NTA is conducting the JEE Main 2023 session 2 exam on April 6, 8, 10, 11, 12, 13 and 15. The exam authority will release the JEE Main 2023 session 2 statistics along with the declaration of the result. As per the reports, it is expected a total of approximately 8.5 lakh candidates are appearing in the session 2 exam. As per the statistics, a total of 8.6 lakh candidates registered for the JEE Main 2023 session 1 exam out of which 8.22 lakh candidates appeared for the exam. JEE Main 2023 session 1 attendance was 95.79%.

As per the expert, today's Chemistry paper was by and large based on NCERT books. Numerical were very few from Physical Chemistry and but most of the questions were theoretical. Overall, the questions from the Physical, Organic and Inorganic branches were more or less evenly distributed.
