Candidates can now check the memory-based questions and the corresponding correct responses through the JEE Main April 12 2023 question paper and answer key solutions. NTA is yet to announce the official JEE Main 2023 answer key date. Candidates will be able to raise objections against the answer key. The authorities will also release the JEE Main 2023 candidate response sheet and official question papers.

Q:   How many questions are asked in JEE Main exam?
A:

Paper 1 has 75 questions where Physics Chemistry and Mathematics, each section has 25 questions. Out of 25 questions, 20 are MCQs and five are numerical value questions. You must answer all 5 numerical value-type questions. All 20 multiple-choice questions are compulsory. Complete all 75 questions in 3 hours.

Q:   Do I need to attempt all the questions in JEE Main exam?
A:

NO, it is compulsory to attempt all questions in the JEE Main exam. The JEE Main exam has negative marking and candidates must answer only those questions for which they know the correct answer. Students must note that there are no minimum marks in JEE Main that students need to score. Students gets All India Rank based on the marks they secure in exam and gets admission based on that rank.

Q:   What type of questions are asked in JEE Main?
A:

There are two question types in JEE Main exam. Multiple choice questions and numerical ability questions. In MCQ, every question has 4 options with only 1 correct answer. Select the correct option. In numerical ability question type, no options are there. Solve them and write answer using keyword and mouse.

Steps to Calculate Scores Using JEE Main 2023 Answer Key

Candidates can follow the given steps to calculate their probable scores using the JEE Main answer key 2023.

  • Firstly, the candidates will have to download the answer key of JEE Main 2023.
  • The correct answers have to be compared to the responses of the candidates in the exam.
  • The official marking scheme as per the JEE Main 2023 exam pattern has to be followed.
  • The total calculated marks will be the obtained marks in the examination.

It is to be noted that the calculated scores will be indicative in nature. NTA will convert the raw score to percentile scores for the All India Rank, cutoff and final marks.

Q:   Upto which year should I solve previous year question papers for JEE?
A:

It is advised that students should solve at least previous 10 year question papers of JEE Main. However, the exam pattern as well as difficulty level of JEE Mains has underwent a lot of changes during the last 10 years but still solving previous year JEE Main question papers from last 10 years will definitely help in scoring the good marks in the exam. As new type of questions (Questions with Numerical Value Answer) were intrduced recently, students are advised to practice solving these type of questions to help solve it during the actual exam.

Q:   What is Chapterwise weightage of class 11 and 12 topics in JEE Main?
A:

Chapterwise weightage of class 11 and 12 topics in JEE Main are mentioned below:

  • Physics: Current Electricity Waves AC, Magnetism, Laws of Motion Work, Power and Energy.
  • Chemistry the high weightage topics are s and p block elements, Coordination compounds, Thermodynamics Gaseous state, Chemical bonding, Atomic structure, Polymers, Environmental Chemistry Organic Chemistry.
  • Mathematics, the high weightage topics are Sequence and Series Vectors and 3D, Integral and Differential Calculus, Definite and Indefinite Integral.

JEE Main 2023 Cutoff

The minimum marks that have to be obtained by the candidates to qualify the examination will be prepared and released through the JEE Main 2023 cutoff. While preparing the cutoff, various factors of JEE Main 2023 will be considered. It is to be noted that the cutoff will vary as per the categories. Candidates who fall under the top 2,50,000 ranks will be eligible for JEE Advanced 2023.

JEE Main 2023 Result

NTA has not yet announced the JEE Main 2023 result date. The scores and ranks obtained in the examination will be released through the JEE Main result 2023. To access the result, the candidates will have to log in using the required credentials. The All India Rank will be based on the best performance of the candidates out of both the April and January sessions.
