JEE Main 2026 January 24 Exam Live: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the day 4 of the JEE Mains session 1 exam TODAY. Shift 1 will start at 9 am and will end at 12 noon. While the shift 2 exam will begin at 3 pm and end at 6 pm.

The exam to be held on January 24, TODAY, is for BE/BTech aspirants in both shifts. Candidates appearing for the exam should not forget to carry essential documents like the JEE Main 2026 admit card, a valid id proof, and other required documents to the exam centre.

For shift 1, candidates should report to the exam centre at 7 am. Gates of the centre will close at 8.30 pm, and no candidate will be allowed inside once the gates are closed.

JEE Main 2026 Jan 24 Exam Day Guidelines

For the shift 1 exam TODAY, candidates should take care of the following exam day guidelines and instructions:

  • Report on time: Reach the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned on the JEE Mains hall ticket 2026.
  • Ensure biometrics on Aadhaar are UNLOCKED
  • Carry all mandatory documents:
    • Carry the printed admit card
    • valid government id proof
    • Photo verification document
    • 2 photographs
    • PWD certificate
    • Non aadhaar declaration
  • Follow the dress code by NTA: "Shoes with thick soles and garments with large buttons are not allowed".
  • Do not carry prohibited items
  • Candidates can carry one transparent, simple ballpoint pen and a transparent water bottle.

    JEE Mains January 24 Exam LIVE: Instructions for Non-Aadhaar Candidates

    The candidates who have not registered for the JEE Main 2026 exam with Aadhaar have to follow the following instructions:

    Live photo mistmatch: Candidates whose live photographs did not match with the photographs available in their Aadhaar during the filling of the application form or those who registered using any other identity proof must carry the photo verification certificate in original duly signed/attested by the Principal /Head Master or any Class-I Gazetted Officer, such as Tehsildar, Revenue Officer, SDM, DM/Class-I Gazetted Officer ofthe Indian Embassy (for NRI candidates), as per format shared in their registered email IDs of the candidates.

    Non aadhaar declaration form: A Non-Aadhaar declaration form is available on the 4th page of the admit card. Candidates should fill it and carry at the exam centre tomorrow.

    NO, it is compulsory to attempt all questions in the JEE Main exam. The JEE Main exam has negative marking and candidates must answer only those questions for which they know the correct answer. Students must note that there are no minimum marks in JEE Main that students need to score. Students gets All India Rank based on the marks they secure in exam and gets admission based on that rank.

    There are two question types in JEE Main exam. Multiple choice questions and numerical ability questions. In MCQ, every question has 4 options with only 1 correct answer. Select the correct option. In numerical ability question type, no options are there. Solve them and write answer using keyword and mouse.

    JEE Main 2026 Day 4: NTA to Conduct Jan 24 Exam TODAY

    NTA will conduct the fourth day of the JEE Main 2026 session 1 exam TODAY, January 24. The exam will be held in CBT mode and for paper 1 (BE/BTech) candidates.

    There will be two shifts. Shift 1 will start at 9 am. Candidates have to report at 7 am, and gates will close for entry at 8:30 am.

    Candidates should carry all important documents on the exam day, which include:

    1. Admit card along with filled in Self Declaration
    2. Two passport-size photo
