The authority allows eatables and drinks including water bottles inside the exam centre for diabetic patients. The concessions are given to diabetic candidates keeping their health conditions in mind. Diabetic students must carry the following things inside the examination hall:

• Transparent water bottle

Note: Candidates will not be allowed to carry packaged foods such as chips/chocolate/sandwiches etc.

The last exam of JEE Main 2023 April session will be held tomorrow. The shift 1 will start at 9 am and the shift 2 will start at 3 pm.

Tomorrow NTA is going to hold the last day of JEE Main 2023 April session exam. There will be 2 shifts and BE/Btech paper will be held in both shifts.

The counselling process for admission to IITs, NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs is organised by the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA). Candidates who will appear in JEE Main 2023 and obtains a score have to register for JoSAA counselling for admission to NITs, IIITs, and GFTIs. Candidates who appear in JEE Advanced also need to register for JoSAA 2023 counselling for admission to IIITs. • Mathematics – Moderately Tough. Questions were asked from all chapters with an emphasis on chapters on Coordinate Geometry & Calculus. Mixed Concept Questions were asked from Circles, Ellipse, and Hyperbola. In Algebra chapters covered where Vectors (2 questions), 3-D Geometry (3 to 4 questions), Binomial Theorem, Progressions, Matrices, Mathematical Reasoning, Statistics (2 questions), Permutation & Combination, and Probability. In Calculus- Functions (3 questions), Definite Integrals (2 questions), Area, Differential Equations. The numerical section had lengthy calculations. A few questions were reported as tricky.
• Physics – Easy. Questions asked from Kinematics, Fluids, Heat & Thermodynamics, Kinetic Theory of Gases, Gravitation, Rotational Motion, EM Waves, Electrostatics, Semiconductors, Magnetism, AC Circuits, Current Electricity, Modern Physics & Ray Optics. Numerical-based questions were easy. Overall, this section was balanced as per students.
• Chemistry – Easy to Moderate. Inorganic Chemistry was given more weightage compared to Physical & Organic Chemistry. Numerical Based questions were mostly from Physical Chemistry – Solutions, Electrochemistry, Chemical Kinetics, and Ionic Equilibrium. Questions were also asked from Chemistry in Everyday Life, p & d block, Phenols, and Coordination Compounds. Some mixed-concept questions were asked in Organic Chemistry involving Amines, Aldehydes & Ketones, Biomolecules, and Polymers. Some students reported matching the following questions in Inorganic Chemistry as time-consuming and tricky. Organic Chemistry was reported as tricky.

• Mathematics – Moderately Tough. Questions were asked from all chapters with more weightage given to Co-ordinate Geometry & Algebra. Mixed Concept Questions were asked from Parabolas, Circles, Ellipses, and Hyperbola. In Algebra, the chapters covered were Complex Numbers, Binomial Theorem, Progressions, Matrices & Determinants, Mathematical Reasoning, Statistics, Permutation & Combination, Probability, Vectors (2 questions), 3 D Geometry (3 questions). In Calculus - Functions, Indefinite Integrals, Application of Derivative, Area, Differential Equations. The numerical Section had lengthy calculations. A few questions were reported as tricky.
• Physics – Easy. Some students reported Chemistry as time-consuming and tricky.

The Joint Entrance Exam Main (JEE Main) 2023 exam will be held for around 9.4 lakh candidates. The JEE Main April session exam will be conducted in approximately 330 cities across the country including 15 cities outside India.

For appearing in the JEE Main 2023, there is no age limit for the candidates. The candidates who have passed the class 12 or equivalent examination in 2021, 2022, or appearing in 2023 irrespective of their age can appear in the exam. However, the candidates may be required to fulfil the age criteria of the institutes to which they are desirous of taking admission.

NTA has announced the marking scheme for JEE Main 2023 exam and the same is provided below.

• Correct answer or the most appropriate answer: Four marks ( 4)
• Any incorrect option marked will be given minus one mark (-1). 
• Unanswered/Marked for Review will be given no mark (0). 
• If more than one option is found to be correct then Four marks ( 4) will be awarded to only those who have marked any of the correct options. 
• If all options are found to be correct then Four marks ( 4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question. 
• If none of the options is found correct or a question is found to be wrong or a question is dropped then full marks will be awarded to all candidates who have appeared irrespective of the fact whether the question has been attempted or not attempted by the candidate.

NTA is conducting JEE Main 2023 exam in 13 languages. Applicants have to select the JEE Main 2023 exam language at the time of filling the application form. NTA will not allow candidates to change the language of exam after the conclusion of the registration process.

The National Testing Agency has not mentioned any specific dress code for JEE Mains 2023. There will be a negative marking for Section B. However, if any anomaly or discrepancy is found after the process of challenges of the key verification, it shall be addressed in the following manner:

• Correct Answer: Four marks ( 4)
• Incorrect Answer: Minus one mark (-1)
• Unanswered/Marked for Review: No mark (0).
• If a question is found to be incorrect or the Question is dropped then Four marks ( 4) will be awarded to all those who have attempted the question. The reason could be due to human error or technical error.
• Candidates are advised to do the calculations with the constants given (if any) in the questions. The answer should be rounded off to the nearest integer.

NTA releases the JEE Main 2023 score in the form of percentile score. The Percentile score will be the JEE Main 2023 Normalized Score for the examination (instead of the raw marks of the candidate) and shall be used for the preparation of the merit lists.
