As per the experts based on the day 1 of JEE Main 2025 session 1 exam, the JEE Main 2025 expected cutoff is expected to be 110 to 130 marks.

The Indian Institute of Technology has announced the JEE Advanced 2025 exam date on its official website. According to the schedule, the exam will be held on May 18, 2025. The application form for JEE Advanced 2025 will be made available starting April 23, 2025.

NTA has announced the JEE Main 2025 Result date session 1. As per the schedule, NTA will declare the JEE Main Result 2025 by February 12. Candidates need to use the JEE Mains Result login at jeemain.nta.nic.in using their application number and password/date of birth to check their JEE Main session 1 result 2025. Along with the result, NTA will also announce the percentile score of candidates in each subject and in aggregate.

JEE Main 2025 January 23 answer key and memory based question paper solutions will be available after shift 1 exam is over at 12 noon. The same for shift 2 will be available after 6 pm today.

JEE Main 2025 exam day 2 shift 1 is ongoing. Candidates of the shift 1 exam will come out of their respective centres after the exam is over at 12 noon. • PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority is to be carried by the candidates if claiming the relaxation under the PwD category. Candidates with Physical Disability are requested to report early for facilitation during entry.
• A PwD candidate (having a physical limitation to write) who will be availing the facility of Scribe will be allowed Compensatory/ Extra time of 20 minutes per hour of the examination, whether such candidate uses the facility of Scribe or not.
• The facility of the Scribe, in case he/she has a physical limitation and a scribe is essential to write the examination on his/her behalf, being so certified in the prescribed format by a CMO/Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution.
• The facility of Scribe will be provided to the PwD candidates only if he has opted for the same in the online JEE Main 2025 application form.
• The candidate will have the discretion of opting for his own Scribe or to avail the facility of Scribe provided by the NTA. Appropriate choice in this regard has been given by the candidate in the online application form. 

Candidates must reach the exam centre for the shift 1 exam by 8:30 am. After 8:30 am, no candidate will be allowed to enter the JEE Main 2025 exam centre.

The JEE Main 2025 day 2 shift 1 exam will start at 9 am today. The exam will end at 12 noon.

The official website for JEE Main 2025 is jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates who have exams in upcoming shifts and days must download their JEE Main admit card. No candidate will be allowed entry to the exam hall without the hall ticket. JEE main hall ticket can be downloaded from the official website under the login. Candidates need their application number and date of birth to login.

The NTA will announce JEE Main 2025 cutoff along with the declaration of the result of the session 2 (April) exam. JEE Main cutoff 2025 is the minimum score a candidate should have to qualify for the JEE Advanced 2025.

Candidates were asked to show the following documents at the JEE Main 2025 exam centre entry gate:

• Candidates must carry their JEE Main session 1 admit card on A4 size paper
• They must carry one passport-size photograph (same as uploaded with the application form) to be pasted on the attendance sheet

Candidates have to carry the below items:

• Self-Declaration Undertaking: Candidates will have to carry a printed copy of the self-declaration undertaking, which is a part of admit card downloaded from NTA’s website.

• Ball Point Pen: This time candidates have to carry a ballpoint pen to the exam hall.

• Photograph: Candidates are also requested to carry one passport-size photograph to the test centre. This should be the same as uploaded while filling the online application form. The photograph needs to be pasted on a specific space in the attendance sheet at the examination hall.

• Any one of the authorized photo IDs (must be original, valid and non-expired) –

  • PAN card

  • Driving license

  • Voter ID

  • Passport

  • Aadhaar Card (with the photograph)

  • Aadhaar enrolment number/Ration card

NTA is expected to release the JEE Mains 2025 Answer Key on February 2. Along with the answer key, NTA will also release the JEE Main Response Sheet 2025 and JEE Main 2025 Question Paper PDF on February 1.

• For correct answers, candidates will be awarded four marks.

• For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

• If a candidate doesn’t attempt a question, that question will not be evaluated and the candidate will secure zero marks for that particular question.

• Based on this marking scheme, candidates can calculate and get a rough estimate of the total marks they will be securing in JEE Main.

NTA has changed the pattern of the JEE Mains 2025 exam for all three papers - Paper 1 (BE/BTech), Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlan). The difficulty level of the January 22nd, 2025 (Evening Shift) paper was almost the same as that of the Morning Shift. Among the three subjects, Physics was the easiest, followed by Chemistry, while Mathematics was the most challenging due to the lengthiness of its questions. A detailed subject-wise analysis is as follows:

Chemistry

Chemistry questions were predominantly easy, similar to the Morning Shift. There was a relatively lower representation of Physical Chemistry, with Organic and Inorganic Chemistry forming the majority. Most of the questions were theoretical and covered almost all chapters equally. Assertion-Reason (AR) type questions were also included and were primarily theoretical.

Physics

Compared to the Morning Shift, Physics questions in the Evening Shift were relatively easier. Many students found this section the simplest. Mechanics was the most dominant topic, while Waves, Magnetism, and Modern Physics were also well-represented. Almost all chapters were covered evenly, and AR-type theoretical questions were included as well.

Mathematics

Mathematics was considered the most difficult section, mainly due to the lengthy nature of its questions. Based on student feedback, questions were asked from Calculus, Vectors & 3D Geometry, Matrices and Determinants, Quadratic Equations, Coordinate Geometry, and Binomial Theorem. The quality of the questions was comparable to the Morning Shift, with all chapters receiving equal representation. However, many average students found the section too time-consuming.

Overall Analysis

The overall difficulty level of the paper was moderate. The subjects, ranked by difficulty according to most students, are as follows:
