The Indian Institute of Technology has announced the JEE Advanced 2025 exam date on its official website. According to the schedule, the exam will be held on May 18, 2025. Registrations for JEE Advanced 2025 will start from April 23, 2025.

Candidates who were allotted the previous centre are advised to report to the new test venue. Also candidates need to download fresh admit card from the website jeemain.nta.nic.in.

Entry in the exam centre, frisking, biometric registration/record of manual attendance by Invigilator, document verification/crosschecking of Admit Card, signature, and photo match to be completed by Invigilator.

No, you must carry a printed copy. Soft copies of the admit card will not be accepted for the JEE main exam entry. 

The JEE Main 2025 April attempt will be held from April 1 to 8, 2025. The exact exam dates will be announced by NTA later on its official website.

As per the JEE Main 2025 January 24 paper analysis, the following topics were prevalent in the paper.

• PwD certificate issued by the Competent Authority must be carried by the candidates if claiming the relaxation under the PwD category.
• Candidates with Physical Disability are requested to report early for facilitation during entry.
• A PwD candidate (having a physical limitation to write) who will be availing the facility of Scribe will be allowed Compensatory/ Extra time of 20 minutes per hour of the examination, whether such candidate uses the facility of Scribe or not.
• The facility of the Scribe, in case he/she has a physical limitation and a scribe is essential to write the examination on his/her behalf, being so certified in the prescribed format by a CMO/Civil Surgeon/ Medical Superintendent of a Government Health Care Institution.
• The facility of Scribe will be provided to the PwD candidates only if he has opted for the same in the online JEE Main 2025 application form.
• The candidate will have the discretion of opting for his own Scribe or to avail the facility of Scribe provided by the NTA. Appropriate choice in this regard has been given by the candidate in the online application form. 

• First, the JEE Main answer key 2025 has to be downloaded.

The National Testing Agency has categorised the JEE Main paper into three formats, which are as follows-

• Paper 1 - for B.E/BTech
• Paper 2A - for B.Arch, and 
• Paper 2B - for B.Planning

No, candidates are not allowed to wear smartwatch or carry any other electronic gadgets to the exam centre. Candidates must go through the instructions mentioned in the JEE Main 2025 admit card before reaching the exam centre. 

Overall, the JEE Main January 24 paper was moderate. The cutoff is expected to be around 120 to 130 marks.

NTA has issued the JEE Main 2025 admit card for Jan 28, 29, and 30, 2025 exams. The exam will be conducted in two shifts. 

Through the JEE Main 2025 cutoff, the candidates will be able to check the minimum marks required to qualify the exam. It is to be noted that marks will be prepared in the form of percentile scores for admissions. JEE Main cutoff will differ as per the category selected by the candidates.

As per the official guidelines set by the authorities of NTA, the authorities will consider the following list of practices unfair in JEE Main 2025.

• Candidates caught in the possession of prohibited items inside the exam centre.
• Attempting to contact or communicate with individuals who are not part of the examination staff during the exam, threatening officials or candidates, using inappropriate methods during the exam, and manipulating or fabricating online documents like JEE Main admit cards, rank letters, or self-declarations will be deemed illegal and considered unfair practice.
• Candidates engaging in impersonation, aiding in cheating, disregarding exam rules or NTA directives for the JEE Main 2025, assisting others in malpractice, giving or receiving any form of assistance - directly or indirectly will be regarded as unfair conduct.
• Unauthorized entry or exit from the JEE Main exam hall, the use or attempted use of electronic devices after entering the examination center, attaching or uploading incorrect or altered photographs/signatures on the application form/admit card/proforma, and possessing paper bits are strictly forbidden and will be regarded as illegal.

Yes, there is a negative marking in JEE Main 2025. According to the exam pattern, candidates will be awarded 4 marks for each correct response, while 1 mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer. Unattempted questions will receive no marks.

NTA has changed the pattern of the JEE Mains 2025 exam for all three papers - Paper 1 (BE/BTech), Paper 2A (BArch) and Paper 2B (BPlan). As per the new pattern, section B of the JEE Main exam 2025 for Paper 1 will not have optional questions. There will be only 5 questions per subject and students must answer all 5 questions. Similarly, in Papers 2A and 2B, there will be no optional questions in the Mathematics section.

The official JEE Main 2025 answer key will be released soon. Through the JEE Main answer key 2025, the candidates will be able to check the correct responses to the question paper. The facility to challenge the provisional key will also be made available.

Candidates should ensure that the eligible ID proofs should be presented at the JEE Main 2025 exam centres. The authorities will NOT accept ID cards issued by schools/colleges/universities/coaching centres, Aadhaar enrollment receipts without an Aadhaar number, and photocopies or images stored on mobile phones.

The percentile score is a relative score that indicates a candidate's performance compared to others in the same exam session. It is calculated using the normalization process to account for varying difficulty levels across different shifts.

The self-declaration form is mentioned on the second page of the JEE admit card 2025. Print copy (a clear printout on A4 size paper) of admit card along with Self Declaration (Undertaking) downloaded from the NTA website duly filled in must be carried to the exam centre.

Registration for the JEE Main 2025 session 2 exams will start on January 31. The April session exam will be held between April 1 to 8.

NTA has announced the JEE Main 2025 Result date session 1. As per the schedule, NTA will declare the JEE Main Result 2025 by February 12. Candidates need to use the JEE Mains Result login at jeemain.nta.nic.in using their application number and password/date of birth to check their JEE Main session 1 result 2025. The QR Code and Barcode on the JEE Main Admit Card are security and identification features added by the National Testing Agency (NTA) to ensure efficient and tamper-proof handling of the examination process. It is used to verify the candidate's authenticity, helping prevent fraud or misuse. In addition, it also helps in conducting an efficient management at the exam centre. 

NTA is not conducting JEE Main 2025 January session exams on January 25, 26 and 27, 2025. The remaining Paper 1 exam will be conducted on January 28 and 29, 2025. JEE Mains Paper 2 will be held on January 30, 2025.

NTA conducts the JEE Main exam in two sessions - January and April. It also serves as a preliminary selection and eligibility test for qualifying JEE (Advanced) for admission to the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs). 

NTA has released the JEE Main 2025 January 28, 29 & 30 admit card online at jeemain.nta.nic.in. Candidates will have to download and print out the JEE Mains 2025 admit card for January 28, 29 & 30, for future use.

The admit card for JEE Main 2025 session 1 will be available until the day of the exam. However, it is advisable to download the hall ticket as early as possible. To download the JEE Main admit card, candidates need to provide their application number and password at jeemain log in portal.

The NTA will announce JEE Main 2025 cutoff along with the declaration of the result. Candidates can check the results at jeemain.nta.nic.in. JEE Main cutoff 2025 is the minimum score a candidate should have to qualify for the JEE Advanced 2025.

The Mathematics section was rated as moderate to difficult. Areas such as Calculus, Coordinate Geometry, 3D Geometry, Vectors, and Conic Sections were the most represented topics. Although these chapters had a substantial number of questions, the section involved lengthy calculations, making it time-consuming. For many students, Mathematics emerged as the most difficult section of the paper.

The Chemistry section covered almost all chapters, with some units receiving more emphasis. This section was regarded as the second easiest after Physics. Organic and Inorganic Chemistry had a nearly equal number of questions, followed by fewer questions from Physical Chemistry. Overall, Chemistry was straightforward and allowed students to complete it quickly, leaving more time for other sections.

Most students considered the Physics section was considered easy. A significant number of questions were based on Class 12 topics, with relatively fewer from Class 11. Chapters like Mechanics and Thermodynamics were minimally represented, while there were no questions about Waves and Oscillations. Conversely, Class 12 topics such as Optics and Electromagnetism were more prominent. Modern Physics had a moderate presence, while chapters like Electromagnetic Induction (EMI) and Alternating Current (AC) were underrepresented.

As per JEE Main 2025 January 24 Shift 2 paper analysis, the exam was easy to moderate difficulty. Among the three sections, Physics was the easiest, followed by Chemistry, while Mathematics was considered the most challenging due to the presence of lengthy calculations in some questions. The distribution of questions across topics was generally balanced, although certain units received more emphasis.

• For correct answers, candidates will be awarded four marks.

• For every wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted.

• For unanswered question, zero marks will be deducted.

• Based on this marking scheme, candidates can calculate and get a rough estimate of the total marks they will be securing in JEE Main.

As per the poll conducted by Shiksha, the students found the JEE Main 2025 January 24 Shift 2 paper moderately difficult. 

Only the JEE Main registered candidates can access the city intimation slip. JEE Main Examination City Intimation Slip only provides the exam city details to help candidates plan their travel and accommodation facilities before the test.
