The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to commence the JEE Mains 2026 registration in October 2025. The authority published a public notice dated Sept 29 on both the NTA and JEE Main official websites, which serves as an advisory for all interested students to update their documents before the registration begins. The recent notification for JEE Mains 2026 indicates the following:
- The official website for JEE Mains, which will be used for all communication purposes, is jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- The JEE Main 2026 registration date is October, while the JEE Main 2026 exam date is January (Session 1) and April (Session 2).
- Authorities urged students to get their documents required for JEE Mains updated and renewed. All aspirants are advised to check their Aadhar Card details, Caste Certificate details and the UDID card. In case of any errors, candidates must get the documents corrected and renewed to successfully apply for the exam.
The national-level JEE Mains exam will open doors to B.E/B.Tech programmes at top colleges in India and also act as a qualifying test for JEE Advanced. IIT aspirants must crack JEE Mains and be among the top 2,50,000 rank holders and pass the JEE Advanced qualifying marks for admission. The JEE Main admission process requires filling the JEE Main application form, downloading the admit card, appearing for the test and further participating in the various counselling processes.
