QS World University Rankings 2026 have been released. Osmania University has been ranked between 1201-1400 as per the latest QS World University Rankings 2026.

Osmania University rankings have been released by NIRF 2025. Osmania University has been ranked 7th under the State Public University category by the NIRF ranking 2025.

The TG CPGET Counselling 2025 provisionally allotted candidates list for the final phase has been released course-wise.
The TG LAWCET 2026 exam is to be held on May 18, 2026 for admission to 3-year LLB and 5-year Integrated LLB courses as per official announcement.
The TG ICET 2026 registration will tentatively start in March 2026 for admission to MBA and MCA courses, and the exam will be conducted on May 13, 2026 & May 14, 2026.
PhD 2025 entrance test results have been released. Candidates who appeared for the exam can check and download their rank cards on the official website of the university.
The GATE 2026 exam for admission to ME/MTech/PhD courses will be conducted from Feb 7, 2026 to Feb 8, 2026, and then from Feb 14, 2026 to Feb 15, 2026.

Founded in 1917, Osmania University in Hyderabad, Telangana, it is the seventh oldest university in India and the third oldest in Southern India. Osmania University History

Named after the last Nizam of Hyderabad, it is the first university established in the former princely state of Hyderabad. It is also the first university to use Urdu as a language. English was still considered a compulsory subject.

Placements: Above 7 GPA students are placed in my course. The lowest package is 2.5 LPA, and the highest 7-8 LPA. Students above 8+ GPA are allowed to get internships in tech companies like Mahindra, TCS, etc. The top roles which are offered in my course are mostly in HR management.

Infrastructure: The infrastructure of my college is very neat and clean, and the students are also very hygienic. The washrooms are well maintained. The hostel of my college is also well maintained with very neat and clean rooms, and the food really tastes very well, so yeah.

Faculty: The faculty of Avinash College are well educated and help every student to understand the topic very well. The students respect each and every staff member of the college and cooperate with them in a very polite way. The semester exams are not that hard for the people who are already from the commerce background, but the students from different categories have to face some difficulties.

Other: I chose this course because I am weak in Math's and I have my interest in the business field, so I joined this BBA course for my future business enrollment.

Placements: 80 percent of the students are placed in our course MPCS. The highest and the lowest packages from our course are 15LPA and 3LPA and the average package is 7LPA. Top recruiting companies are TCS, Accenture, Wipro, Flipkart, Tata motors etc. 60 percent of the students got internships from the above companies from our course.

Infrastructure: Our college infrastructure is average and we have good facilities like cleaning the classrooms and drinking water availability on campus. Food in the mess or canteen is good but the prices are high. We have a playground to play sports and games.

Faculty: Our teachers are good and they have good and nice relationships with students. They are qualified in higher level education like MBA, PG and Ph.D. M.Tech and B.Tech etc. We have the exams in semester wise and we have a total of 6 semesters for the 3 year tenure.

Other: Our college will conduct fests and events in our playground.

Roles offered are Analyst, Accountant, and Support Excellent Super.

Infrastructure: The department has clean classrooms, basic labs, limited Wi-Fi, and a decent library. Hostel facilities are average. The food quality is acceptable. Medical help is basic. Sports and games facilities are available but limited in variety and equipment.

Faculty: Teachers are qualified and knowledgeable, but only some are very helpful. Teaching quality is average. Curriculum is somewhat relevant but needs to be updated to be industry-ready. Semester exams are moderate in difficulty with a pass percentage of around 85 percent.

Other: Batch 2023 to 26, B.Com Computer Applications. I chose this course for its mix of commerce and IT. The best parts are practical subjects and basic tech skills. Needs better industry exposure and placements. Good fests, decent crowd, average connectivity, calm campus, and scholarships available.

I am satisfied with the college and the placements we study.

Placements: Placements in our college are okay. Earlier, many companies were coming to the campus, but now the number has reduced a little. The highest package offered was around 30 LPA, the minimum package is mostly around 2 LPA, and the average package comes to nearly 5 LPA. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, and Cognizant have come earlier, so there are chances if we work properly. I do not know many details about different job roles, but mostly they are technical and branch-related. Around 50 to 60 percent of students usually get placed before completing their graduation.

Infrastructure: Infrastructure is also good. The college has Wi-Fi in every block and on every floor, so network problems are not there most of the time, but sometimes the internet becomes slow. Classrooms are big and have smart TVs, so teaching is mostly done using presentations or PPTs. The library is spacious, many books are available, and we can sit and study there comfortably. The college also conducts many clubs, workshops, and some outdoor sessions.

Faculty: Faculty are also well-experienced, qualified, and trained. Many teachers have more than 10 years of experience, they teach well and clear our doubts when we ask. However, a few teachers just complete the syllabus and leave without much interaction. Exam question papers are prepared by our department only; some papers are easy, some are medium, and some are a little tough as well. Most of the evaluation is done by the faculty, and the verification is handled by JNTU.

Other: I have actually chosen this branch because I feel that the future will be mostly in electronics only. In our college, the events are not conducted much, but if they are conducted then they will be conducted very nicely.

Spread across an area of 1,600 acres, Osmania University HYD consists of a sprawling green campus with all the modern facilities available. With 300,000 students (across all the campuses, constituent units, affiliated colleges, and district centres), it is one of the largest higher education systems in India. Nearly 5,000 faculty and staff members are currently employed at OU. Osmania University infrastructure includes a round-the-clock Wi-Fi service for all its centers, colleges, hostels, departments, etc. The main library of OU consists of an online library system, which connects the libraries in the entire campus and other constituent college libraries.

How to Reach:

Osmania University campus is located about 8-10 km from the two major inter-city and inter-state bus stations, Mahatma Gandhi Bus Station and Jubilee Bus Station. The campus is about 8-10 km away from both the Secunderabad and Hyderabad Railway Stations. OU is about 40 km from the airport (the new Rajiv Gandhi International Airport, Shamshabad). To reach the campus, you can hire metered, air-conditioned radio cabs from the airport.
