IIM Bodh Gaya is among several IIMs in India offering the IPM programme, including IIM Rohtak, IIM Jammu, IIM Indore, and IIM Ranchi. The orientation program successfully set the stage for the new batch, integrating academic and industry perspectives into their educational journey.

Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Bodh Gaya organised a two-day orientation program for the fourth batch of its Integrated Programme in Management (IPM). This year’s orientation welcomed 148 new students, including 14 international students from the US, Canada, Australia, and Nepal.

Introduction and Welcoming Addresses

The orientation began with an introduction to the IPM course by Vittal Rangan S, Professor and Chairperson of the IPM Programme. Following this, IIM Bodh Gaya’s Director, Vinita Sahay, extended a warm welcome to both students and their families.

Insights from Industry Leaders

The first day featured a keynote address by Chief Guest D Shivakumar, Operating Partner at Advent Private Equity. His talk set the tone for the program, which concluded with a cultural evening showcasing performances by both current and former IPM students.

Industry Expertise and Virtual Connect

On the second day, the program was enriched by sessions with industry experts. Manoj Kumar, General Manager at LPG, HPCL; Niglanshu Nandi, Director of Sales and Marketing at OLA; and Karthik Venkat, Country Lead at India Tech Partnerships (Ads) at Google, shared their insights. They encouraged students to let their curiosity guide them toward opportunities rather than merely pursuing them.

Pratik Yadav, Expert Partner at BCG Zurich, also engaged with students virtually from Switzerland, providing additional perspectives. The students were introduced to IIM Bodh Gaya’s 14 student-driven committees, which play a crucial role in the institute’s operations.
