Q:   Which entrance exam is accepted by IIM Indore?
A: 

IIM Indore accepts the  CAT and IPMAT scores for admission to its PGP course. The mode of IPMAT Institute of Management Indore course admissions is online. Admission to various courses is based on entrance exam scores and merit. The accepted entrance exams are CAT,  IPMAT Indore, and others. Candidates applying through the CAT must first register for the CAT exam. Then appear for the CAT exam. Those who qualify for CAT must appear for the WAT, PI,  and other selection rounds. Then candidates will get an admission call according to their marks. Then students must report at the allotted and selected college

Q:   Are 10+2 level maths questions asked in IPMAT?
A: 

After the Class 12 exam, the Integrated Programme in Management Aptitude Test (IPMAT) is one of the most competitive admission tests. The IPMAT exam typically has a moderate difficulty level. The three areas of the IPMAT question paper are Quantitative Aptitude (MCQs), Verbal Ability, and Quantitative Aptitude (SA). It is evident that QA (Math) makes up a significant portion of the IPMAT curriculum. This test measures your speed as well as your ability to select and answer the correct questions. Exam content is dominated by higher level maths. Over 60% of all QA questions typically come from the Class 11 and Class 12 curricula. A significant percentage of IPMAT questions are from the calculus and class 12 maths.

Q:   How can I get admission in IIM Indore for MBA?
A: 

The admission cycle for the flagship PGP courses of IIM-I starts in the month of August for the upcoming year's MBA admission batch. IIM Indore has adopted a three-stage selection process for admission to its PGP and PGP HRM programmes, which is as follows:

Eligibility criteria

All applicants must fulfil the eligibility requirements specified for PGP admission. A pass in any UG degree or completed a professional degree (CA/ CS/ ICWA/ FIAI) with at least 50% aggregate (45% for SC/ ST/ PwD candidates) is required to apply for PGP course.

Shortlist for PI

Only those aspirants satisfying the eligibility requirements will be shortlisted for PI round. Sufficient number of candidates for PI from each category will be shortlisted using the merit list generated based on composite score. Candidates shortlisted for PI will be intimated in the month of January 2023. Individual regret letters will not be sent to applicants who are not shortlisted for PI.

Final Selection

After completion of the above selection rounds, category-wise merit list is generated based on final composite score and provisional admission offers are made accordingly.

I like my college and our professors.
Placements: Our college is a government management institute. It provides a high number of placements at different companies like Adani Group, Reliance Industries, Tata Consultancy Services, etc., with a good package of 10 to 30 LPA. In our institution, a good internship programme is held every year.
Infrastructure: Our hostel facility is very good, and the food quality is good. Our college authority provided a high-speed internship to students. Our classroom is very good and big. But our college sports facilities are not very good. In our college, a well-stocked library is provided by the authority.
Faculty: Our college faculty are highly qualified and knowledgeable. They are very helpful in nature. They help us at the time of examination. In our college, 2 semesters are held in a year, and 2 mid-semester exams are held in a year. It is very tough to crack. It helps us in future.
Other: I would like to be a manager in future, so I chose the course. Our college provides scholarships to scholars.

Post graduate diploma in Management
Placements: The college guaranteed 100% placement for our programme but achieved only 73% in the previous year. The highest number of companies were core companies, with the least pay starting from ₹2,76,000. Top companies included Adobe, Flipkart, Aditya Birla, and Dell.
Infrastructure: The college is well developed in terms of digital communication and other infrastructure. Continuous internet connectivity, along with banking and medical facilities, is available within the campus zone. Classrooms are modernized with comfortable seating and other necessary requirements.
Faculty: Teachers are often disappointing with their attitude and behaviour, and they can't tolerate students when we start questioning. They distribute the materials and key notes, complete the portions one month before the examination, and ask us to do self-study. If we go to ask doubts, they simply share an online video for clarification.

Post graduate program in management at IIM Indore.
Placements: The placement offered simply differs from one discipline to another usually it depends upon the placement office's efforts. Some of the recruiters had a stable relationship with the college for active recruitment. Cognizant and BCG were the top recruiters offering the highest package above 9 LPA.
Infrastructure: The exact fee range would basically above 2.5 lakhs and between 3 lakhs and 5.6 lakhs for the entire course duration which included hostels, placement, and other fees too. Even though the seats were too limited, the curious of students joining the college was unstoppable. College administration was so lethargic in responding.
Faculty: There will be higher level of difficulty in clearing the examinations without undergoing any practice tests or exams. Professors were with sufficient subject knowledge and guided us in a correct way. The overall pass percentage for our discipline was usually above 79%.

IIM Indore has a big name, but inside, it's not good, and there is no support.
Placements: Almost all students got placed, more than 95%. The highest package is around 50 LPA, the lowest is 10 LPA, and the average is around 25 LPA. Big companies like BCG, Deloitte, and Accenture visit our college. Many students got internships in banks and consultancies. Roles offered are analyst and manager. It's quite good.
Infrastructure: Rooms are not clean, and the fans do not work sometimes. Wi-Fi is very slow. Classrooms are okay, but AC is not always available. The library is big, but there are old books. The mess food is bad, but the oil is old and not fresh. The canteen is costly. The sports ground is broken. Medical help comes late, and I'm not happy with the facilities.
Faculty: Teachers do not help much. Their qualification is okay, but they don't share good knowledge. Teaching is poor, they just read. The curriculum is not relevant, and students are not industry-ready. Exams are not hard, with many questions. The pass percentage is low, around 60%. Students struggle a lot, and many fail. Others IIMs are better.
Other: I joined this course for a good job, but there's not much help. The course has some good topics, but they are not taught in depth. No good fests are held, the campus is far from the city, and the crowd is boring. There is no support for scholarships or extra things.

My review about this college.
Placements: Placement was guaranteed by them as they made sure that each of us was given proper in-depth knowledge and training regarding management. Various top recruiters placed students in different segments. It provides jobs in various sectors such as manufacturing sector, IT, etc. Our institute holds a good placement record by placing various students in reputed organizations at good salary packages. Some of the key companies consulting like Mckinsey, BCG, Accenture, Deloitte, PwC, KPMG, E&Y, FMCG like HUL, P&G, ITC, Asian Paints, finance like Goldman Sachs, Nomura, City bank, e-commerce like Amazon, Flipkart, eBay, etc., came for placements.
Infrastructure: Hostel stay was compulsory on the campus. The rooms were spaced enough with bed, table, and chair. Each student got a room in PG course while some PGP-HR students got a shared room. One of the drawbacks was that there was a set of washrooms on floors instead of attached washrooms in the room.
Faculty: Faculty members were very qualified. They come from reputed graduate and post-graduate colleges. They were fairly interested in teaching their courses. Faculty members of the institute maintain very high standards academically. The curriculum was rigorous and the course outlines were followed very closely. Exam structure was fine. Every semester had three examinations. They call it minor 1 (20), minor 2 (20), and major (40). Here the numbers in the brackets were the marks for each exam. These numbers may vary depending on the subject and faculty. The remaining marks could be again divided as the marks for attendance and surprise tests. The course curriculum was one of a kind. It consisted of core subjects which were the pillars for further management studies. It also consists of enhancements that enhance the qualities of students. Exams consist of quizzes, projects, midterms, and end terms.

IIM Indore College review.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our college was 85%. The highest package was 84 LPA, and the lowest package was 9 LPA. Top companies that came to our college were Tata, Navi, Microsoft, etc. The percentage of students who got internships was 85%, and the top role offered in my course was 17 per year.
Infrastructure: The college had the best infrastructure compared to the other colleges in the city. Wi-Fi was available all around the campus. Our classrooms were very clean. The library had good books. We had clean washrooms. The hostel did not provide good things. The food was the worst. Sports were good.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful and well qualified, like Ph.D. holders. The teaching quality was good, and the course made students industry-ready. Semester exams were more difficult than those at other colleges, but they helped build students. The passing CGPA was above 9.

Yes, it is mandatory for the candidates to meet the sectional and overall CAT cutoff to be eligible for the Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI) rounds for admission to IIM Indore. IIM Indore offers admission to Management courses on the basis of valid CAT scores. IIM Indore admission 2025 to MBA course is based on CAT 2024 scores followed by Writing Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates must note that for admission to IIM Indore, they are required to meet both the overall CAT cut off percentile and also the sectional cut offs.

No the IPMAT cutoff for IIM INdore and IIM Rohtak are not the same. Both the IIMs conduct different IPMAT exams. IIM Indore conducts IPMAT Indore and the exam conducted by IIM Rohtak is called the IPMAT Rohtak exam. Thus, both the institues have different cutoff and selection processes. Q:   Who can apply for IIM Indore scholarships?
A: 

There is need-based financial assistance offered to the students of IPM at IIM Indore. Below is the criteria for scholarship:

  • All participants admitted to the IPM programme with annual family income below INR 9, 00,000 are eligible to apply for financial aid.
  • Eligible applicants who wish to apply for the IIM Indore NBFA may apply in the prescribed form as available in PGP/ IPM Office. They must apply in the form taken from the respective PGP /IM Office only.
Q:   Does IIM Indore offer scholarships?
A: 

IIM Indore provides Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) to PGP/ IPM students with annual family income below INR 9 LPA, are eligible to apply for financial aid. The objective of the Need-Based Financial Assistance (NBFA) at IIM Indore is to ensure that no participant is deprived of education at the institute for financial reasons. The NBFA Committee undertakes a two-step process for deciding the number of awardees and quantum of aid. The scholarship is awarded to the students selected for pursuing courses at graduate/postgraduate in identified institutions in professional fields such as Management, Medicine, Engineering, Information Technology, Law, and Training etc. In the first stage, the candidate's financial needs will be assessed by evaluating the application submitted by them. In the second stage, based on the first stage assessment, some of the participants are called for personal interaction with the NBFA Committee. Eligible applicants who wish to apply for the IIM Indore NBFA may apply in the prescribed form as available in PGP/ IPM Office.

Q:   Is there any scholarship available for IIM Indore 5 year integrated program?

IIM Indore gives scholarships for its five-year integrated programme. These scholarships are based totally on advantage and other standards including educational performance, front examination ratings, and monetary need. While IPM Aptitude Test is an easy exam, IIM Indore's IPMAT is moderately tough but to say which is better totally depends upon the college a candidate is targeting for the five-year integrated programme. The participating colleges for both exams are different. If a candidate's dream college accepts IPMAT score, then they should appear for IPMAT exam. The IPMAT exam conducted by IIM Indore is accepted by other institutes such as IIFT, IIM Ranchi, Nirma University,  Alliance University,  NICMAR University,  Department of Management Studies and NALSAR University of Law. The benefit of IPMAT by IIM Indore is that the exam is accepted by multiple top management insitutes in country, whereas the one conducted by IIM Rohtak is only accepted by IIM Rohtak.

Q:   How can I get admission to the IIM Indore PGP course?
A: 

At the postgraduate level, IIMIDR offers a PGP programme to students. The mode of Indian Institute of Management Indore course admissions is online. Admission to various courses is based on entrance exam scores and merit. The accepted entrance exams are CAT,  IPMAT Indore, and others. Candidates applying through the CAT must first register for the CAT exam. Then appear for the CAT exam. Those who qualify for CAT must appear for the WAT, PI,  and other selection rounds. Then candidates will get an admission call according to their marks. Then students must report at the allotted and selected college.

Q:   How can I get admission to the IIM Indore PGP course?

For PGP admissions at IIM Indore, students must clear the accepted entrance exams such as CAT,  IPMAT, and others. Students must visit the official website of the entrance exam such as CAT. Then appear for the CAT exam. Then appear for the selection round which includes WAT/PI, and others. Receive the admission call. Then report to the selected/allotted college.

Q:   Is CAT compulsory for IIM Indore?
A: 

The answer is both yes and no. IIM Indore admission for the postgraduate and doctoral-level Management courses, i.e., PGP, PGP-HRM, FPM and E-FPM programmes is completely based on CAT scores followed by a PI round. The percentile of CAT for IIM Indore has gone up to 98 percentile in the past years which shows how rigorous it is for a student to get admission to this institute. Additionally, there is no information about the college giving admission to MBA (or PGP) courses without CAT.

However, for those who wish to get into the institute without CAT, IIM Indore also offers a five-year Integrated Programme in Management for which candidates need to take IPMAT after Class 12, which is followed by an interview. IIM Indore conducts IPM Aptitude Test (IPMAT) to test the applicant’s aptitude, logical reasoning and proficiency in English and Mathematics for admission to IPM. Shortlisted candidates further need to appear for the PI round wherein they will be judged on the basis of their confidence, communication skills, general awareness, persuasion skills and knowledge.

Q:   What all facilities are offered to the students of IIM Indore?
A: 

IIM Indore campus is spread over an area of 193 acres. Indian Institute of Management–Indore (IIM–Indore) has laboratories, classrooms, a library, hostels, and cafeterias. Some of the campus facilities include:

There are single-seated/twin-sharing accommodation facilities available for all the students on the campus premises with separate blocks/floors for men and women. The hostels are interconnected, mostly in blocks of three. Each hostel block has a common room where facilities such as wall-mounted televisions with DTH connection, table-tennis tables, dart games and carrom and chess games are available. Each block is also equipped with water coolers and water purifiers. The individual rooms are furnished with teak cots and mattress, a computer table, chairs, closets and shelves. All rooms have full-time internet connectivity with direct lines to the main LAN.
