IIM Indore 26th Annual Convocation: The Indian Institute of Management Indore (IIM Indore) is gearing up to celebrate its 26th Annual Convocation on March 29, 2025. This milestone event will mark the graduation of 782 participants from various prestigious academic programs offered by the institute. Renowned Chess Grandmaster Viswanathan Anand will grace the occasion as the chief guest and deliver the Convocation Address, adding a touch of inspiration to the ceremony.

Diverse Cohort of Graduates

This year’s convocation will see graduates from a wide range of programs, including the Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP), Post Graduate Programme in Human Resource Management (PGPHRM), Five-Year Integrated Programme in Management (IPM), Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), Post Graduate Programme in Management for Working Executives (PGPMX), Doctoral Programme in Management (DPM), Executive Doctoral Programme in Management (EDPM), and IPM - BA Degree. The graduating batch comprises 536 male and 246 female participants, reflecting the institute’s commitment to diversity and excellence.

Celebration of Academic Excellence

Q:   What are the important topics of CAT syllabus from which maximum questions are asked?
A:

CAT lays a lot of emphasis on analytical skills so the questions are asked mostly from those topics which require deep learning and practice. The three sections of CAT question paper are designed in such a way that candidates have to use their ability of minute observation and fast calculation. Shared below are the section wise main topics from which questions are asked in CAT. Verbal Ability: Parajumbles, Parasummary, Sentence Completion and Inferences

  • Reading Comprehension: Questions based on passages, Para meaning, Order of sentences 
  • Data Interpretation: Tables, Graphs, Pie Charts, Venn Diagram, Data Sufficiency
  • Logical Reasoning: Blood Relation, Seating Arrangement, Syllogism, Coding-Decoding, Sets and Caselets, Family Tree, Assumptions
  • Quantitative Aptitude: Geometry, Algebra Number System Modern Math, Arithmetic, Mensuration

The difficulty level of CAT questions is usually moderate to high. Only a few questions are easy and quick to solve. To crack the CAT exam, one needs to pay attention to the abovementioned topics.

Q:   What are the FPM specialisations offered at IIM Indore?
A:

At Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Indore, students can pursue Fellow Programme in Management (FPM). It is a two-year course offered at doctoral level. Students can pursue the programme in two specialisations; Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) Industry and Fellow Programme in Management (FPM) General. Interested students who satisfy the eligibility criteria of the course can visit the official website of IIM Indore to apply for the course by filling out the application form online.

Q:   What degree will be awarded after EPGP from IIM Indore?
A:

EPGP is a full time residential programme with an International module, which requires the candidates to visit one of the top global B-schools. The International module is a compulsory module for all the participants. After successful completion of the one-year Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management (EPGP), a candidate will receive a degree in Master of Business Administration.
