IIM Mumbai placements 2025: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Mumbai has once again set a benchmark in the world of management education, achieving a remarkable 100% placement record for its 2025 batch. This year, two students secured an exceptional salary package of INR 54 lakh per annum, the highest package offered, from Microsoft, highlighting the growing demand for IIM Mumbai graduates in the competitive job market.

Strong Placement Performance Across Diverse Sectors

A total of 480 students, including 377 males and 103 females, were successfully placed this year. The placement process saw the participation of 198 companies, marking a 10% increase from the previous year, when 180 companies were involved. The increase in both the number of participating companies and placement offers underscores the continued strength of IIM Mumbai's reputation.

Impressive Salary Packages for Top Performers

The placement statistics further underscore the success of IIM Mumbai's rigorous academic and placement programs. According to Vartika Shrivastava, Placement Officer at IIM Mumbai, the top 10% of the batch secured an average salary of INR 47.5 lakh per annum, while the top 20% and top 50% received salary packages of INR 41.2 lakh and INR 34.1 lakh, respectively.

Shrivastava also noted that the overall salary packages for the 2025 batch showed an impressive 5% increase compared to last year, reinforcing the growing demand for IIM Mumbai graduates across industries.

Bulk Hiring by Leading Corporates

This year, many companies opted for bulk hiring, further boosting the placement numbers. Leading firms such as Accenture, which hired 41 students at a salary of INR 45.37 lakh per annum, PwC India, which hired 18 students, and PwC US Advisory, which hired 10 students, made significant contributions to the successful placement outcome.

Surge in Pharma, Healthcare, and E-Commerce Placements

This year saw a major shift in sector-specific placements. Pharma and healthcare sectors experienced a massive 130% increase in placements compared to last year, with 80 students securing jobs in these fields. Additionally, placements in the retail and e-commerce sectors rose by 47.73%, reflecting the growing boom in online shopping and digital-first business models.

Boost in Placement Outcomes Post Transition to IIM

Prof Manoj Tiwari, Director of IIM Mumbai, attributed the institute's strong placement performance to its transition from the National Institute of Industrial Engineering (NITIE) to IIM Mumbai. "The enhanced brand presence of IIM and the growing job market in Mumbai have provided students with greater exposure to a wide range of opportunities. In addition, our focus on better student selection and a more robust training programme has led to stronger placement results," said Prof Tiwari.

Testament to Hard Work and Commitment

The 100% placement record is a testament to the combined efforts of the students, faculty, and corporate partners, according to Prof Tiwari. "We remain committed to maintaining and strengthening our position as a leading business school that equips our students with the skills necessary to excel in the global job market," he added.

With this outstanding achievement, IIM Mumbai continues to cement its reputation as one of the top business schools in India, providing its graduates with unparalleled opportunities in the corporate world.
