ICMR JRF 2020: Online registration to begin from April 27

Schedule for the Junior Research Fellowship entrance test, conducted by the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), has been released. Applications to start from April 27.

The Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), New Delhi has released the examination notification for Junior Research Fellowship 2020. ICMR will conduct the entrance test in collaboration with the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Education & Research (PGIMER), Chandigarh. According to the notification, ICMR JRF 2020 application form will be released on April 27. The application form for ICMR JRF 2020 will be available on the website of both the institutes.

Through the ICMR JRF 2020 exam, 150 fellowships will be awarded. Out of these many, 120 will be awarded in the field of biomedical sciences and the remainder will be awarded in the field of social sciences.

ICMR JRF 2020: Who can apply for this test?

To apply for the ICMR JRF 2020 exam, a candidate must fulfill the following eligibility criteria:

• He/she must have obtained a MSc/MA/equivalent degree from a recognised institute
• He/she must have passed the qualifying examination with a minimum aggregate of 55% (for general/EWS/OBC candidates) or 50% (for PwD/ST/SC candidates)
• He/she must not be older than 28 years as on September 30, 2020 (31 years for OBC, 33 years for SC/ST/PwD/female candidates)
