AGRICET is an entrance exam conducted to offer admission to four years B.Sc (Hons.) Agriculture Degree programmes. This is a state level exam conducted by Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University. The entrance exam is conducted once a year. Diploma holders in Agriculture / Seed Technology / Organic Farming from ANGRAU are eligible for the test.

Students who secures high rank or above the admission cutoff rank will be offered admission to the University Agricultural Colleges and Affiliated Agricultural Colleges. This is the minimum conditions to appear for the entrance exam. Students who fulfil these conditions can appear for the AP AGRICET. The minimum conditions are mentioned below.

Who is eligible for AGRICET exam?

  • Passed two year diploma in Agriculture / Seed Technology / Organic Farming from ANGRAU.
  •  Appearing for the final exam of the degree.
  • Students must have completed 17 years of age.
  • Upper age limit for all students is 22 years and 25 years for SC / ST. For PH candidates it is 27 years.

AGRICET for Diploma Holders - How to Apply?

Students who fulfil all minimum conditions can apply for AP AGRICET. AGNRAU releases the AGRICET application form online. Interested students can fill and submit the application form both online and offline mode. The cost of AGRICET application form is Rs. 1500  and Rs. 750 for SC, ST, and PH candidates.

AGRICET for Diploma Holders - Preparation Tips

Students who want to secure a good rank in AGRICET must have a proper preparation strategy. According to the officials, students need to obtain 25% marks (i.e. 30 marks out of 120 marks) in AGRICET. It is easy to obtain this marks, but for 80+ marks students can follow the tips mentioned below.

  • Initially, get familiar to AGRICET syllabus and exam pattern.
  • After knowing the syllabus and pattern, students must gather preparation material like books, previous year question papers and mock tests.
  • Make a study timetable. Distribute equal time to all the topics. Give extra time to the weak topics.
