IISER Entrance Exam Preparation 2026: Exam Pattern
IISER 2026 exam pattern is available online. The exam pattern is the structure of question paper. Candidates can check the exam pattern of IISER 2026 to know the marking scheme, mode of exam, types of questions, duration of test, more. IISER question paper will comprises four sections. Each section will have 20 multiple choice questions. There will be 60 questions for 240 marks. Each question carries 3 marks and negative marking is done for wrong answers.

It is quite difficult for the GEN / OBC category to get admission to IISER with 50 marks. Even the reserved category students have less chance in the later counelling round for admission. To secure admission, students must score above 150 marks.

IISER exam is considered of moderate difficulty level. Majority of students finds Physics, and Mathematics challenging. PCM students may find biology tough while PCB students might find Mathematics tough. However, the difficulty level of IISER compared to JEE Main and Advanced is moderate to easy.
