The Central University of Kashmir accepts scores of the Central University Entrance Test (CUET) for admission to the Bachelor of Science program. The Central University Entrance Test is a national-level competitive exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) in Computer-Based Test (CBT) mode. The admission is based on valid CUET-UG scores, and the university releases course-wise cutoff percentiles after the declaration of the CUET result.

During 2021 placements, 34% of UG (4-year) and 43% of PG (2-year) students were placed. Looking at the past three years' data, a fluctuating trend was recorded in the placement rate of UG and PG courses. SKUAST BSc (Hons) admission 2024 is entrance-based for the academic year 2024. For Free seats and Self Financing seats (State Domicile), admissions are through:

• Common Entrance Test through SKUAST-Jammu
• ICAR quota through All India Counselling by ICAR after CUET
• On the nomination of in-service candidates through state government (only free seats)
• VCI quota through NEET and based on the list provided by the VCI through their counselling portal

For Self-Financing seats under NRIs/ NRI Sponsored/ All India Basis/ Wards of Serving Employees Categories, admissions are through the University itself based on merit in SKUAST-J CET and marks obtained in Class 12 or equivalent examination.

IUST Awantipora has not yet released the latest report on BSc placements. As per the university's overall NIRF Report 2023, 294 students, out of a total of 407 UG (4-year) students, were placed at the median package of INR 4.8 LPA in 2022. You have complete B.sc in Physics so you can go with following field -- Life-Science professions such as medicine, pharmacy and some other good field like- geo-sciences, engineering, architecture, computer-related programs, environmental studies, technicians, Science educators. you are eligible for Union Public Service Commission for Posts like IPS , IAS , IFS Staff Selection Commission Indian Forest Services Banking Sector State PCS Indian Defense services etc.

Kashmir University admissions are primarily entrance-based. The university conducts KUET for admission to UG and PG courses. The university also accepts CMAT for MBA, GATE for MTech, GPAT for MPharm, GAT-B for MSc Biotechnology. The university also considers scores in UGAT, JEE Main, etc.
