IISER Berhampur BSc course admissions are entrance-based and to get a seat in IISER Berhampur for BS programme, candidates are required to appear for any of these entrance examination, namely KVPY Channel/ JEE (Advanced)/ IISER Aptitude Test (IAT).

• JEE Advanced: Candidates should have a rank within 15,000 in the common rank list or the respective category rank lists. Candidates with JEE (Advanced) preparatory ranks are not eligible.
• IISER Aptitude Test: Candidates applying through this channel are required to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test

If candidates are applying for admission through KVPY Channel or JEE Advanced, then they are not required to appear for IAT.

IISER Berhampur BSc admission is entrance-based. The admissions process in all IISERs is managed by the Joint Admissions Committee, headed by a Chairman and having members from all IISERs. Given below is the admission process for IISER Berhampur BSc:

Step 1: IISER Berhampur BSc Application Process

Candidates must apply online through the official admission portal of IISER, provide all the necessary details, upload photograph and signature and pay the IISER Berhampur BSc application fee of INR 200.

Step 2: IISER Berhampur BSc Selection Criteria

Candidates can opt for any of the three channels for admission to BSc at IISER Berhampur or can apply through any one or two or all of the three channels given below:

KVPY Channel: The KVPY-SA students who have received the provisional KVPY fellowship award are eligible to apply.

JEE (Advanced): Candidates should have a rank within 15,000 in the common rank list or the respective category rank lists.

IISER Aptitude Test (IAT): Candidates are required to appear in the IISER Aptitude Test

Candidates seeking admission through KVPY Channel or JEE Advanced do not have to appear for IAT.

Step 3: IISER Berhampur BSc Admission

Candidates whose names appears on the final merit list are further called to complete the admission formalities and are required to pay IISER Berhampur BSc fees.

The BSc offered at IISER Berhampur is compared against the BSc programme offered at IISER Pune. The comparison made on the basis of total fees charged by the Institutes and the closing rank of the last round. IISER Berhampur BSc fees for the five-year programme is INR 3.92 Lacs while on another hand the total tuition fees charged is IISER Pune is INR 3.56 lakh. The final round closing rank for IISER Berhampur BSc course was 3,567 in 2023 while it was 534 for IISER Pune.
