For B.Tech CSE, I'd personally lean towards Galgotias if you want better value for money and Delhi-NCR exposure. Galgotias' current B.Tech CSE tuition is ₹1.64 lakh/year, and you also get plenty of options for technical activities, projects and internships.  LPU has a much larger campus ecosystem, so it can be a good choice if you specifically want that experience. But imo, moving to Punjab for 4 years isn't necessary just for CSE if you already have Galgotias as an option. If your priority is CSE + career opportunities + NCR location + reasonable cost, I'd pick Galgotias.

For B.Tech CSE, Galgotias University has regular placement drives and students get opportunities to apply for different IT and technical roles. The university reports an overall average package of around ₹5.4 LPA, but the actual package can vary depending on the student's skills, preparation and the company. Students who build good technical skills, work on projects and gain internship experience can make better use of the placement opportunities.

Both Galgotias University and Chandigarh University offer CSE programmes with a focus on core computer Science as well as emerging technologies, so the choice can depend on what a student is looking for.

At Galgotias University, the B.Tech CSE curriculum covers areas such as programming, data structures and algorithms, databases, computer networks, operating systems, software engineering, AI, cloud computing, cybersecurity and data science. The university also mentions industry-integrated courses, internships, coding projects, hackathons and training/certification opportunities with organisations such as L&T, TATA, Apple, Infosys, Cisco

Not qualifying JEE Main does not mean B.Tech CSE is out of reach. LPU can be considered if the focus is on building coding skills along with practical learning. The CSE curriculum includes industry-oriented learning, projects and exposure to current technologies. Career outcomes also show students getting placed in companies such as Microsoft, Amazon and Juspay. Still, placements depend a lot on individual coding skills, projects, internships and interview preparation, so those areas should be taken seriously from the first year.

For B.Tech Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) at Lovely Professional University (LPU), there was no single fixed LPUNEST score in 2017 that guaranteed admission. LPUNEST was used as an entrance and scholarship examination, and admission requirements could depend on the programme, the applicant's qualifying examination marks and the admission rules applicable in that particular year. Therefore, it would not be accurate to say that a specific score, such as 200 or 300, was universally required for B.Tech CSE admission in 2017. LPUNEST also had a scholarship component, meaning that higher performance could provide better scholarship b

From what I've seen, Galgotias University has a decent faculty base for B.Tech CSE, with teachers and departments supporting academics as well as technical learning. Placement opportunities are also available across software and IT roles. Your own DSA, coding, projects and interview preparation will make a big difference.

The fees for B.Tech programmes may differ from university to university and depending on the specialisation, as well as due to factors like scholarships and other academic expenses. Before applying for admission, students should look into the most recent fee structure and the eligibility criteria.

LPU charges 1,40,000 per semester for the B.Tech Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) programme, and it offers scholarships to eligible students to help reduce the total cost of their studies. The programme also involves practical learning, projects, and exposure to industry-oriented technologies.

Galgotias University is far superior to LPU for B.Tech CSE due to its strategic Delhi-NCR location providing direct access to top tech hubs, an elite A+ NAAC accreditation, and unmatched industry integration with giants like Amazon and Accenture.

IIT Tirupati had around 195 companies participating in placements in 2025–26, with an overall placement rate of about 81%. The official report covers different branches together, so I wouldn't rely on random websites for a separate CSE figure unless IIT Tirupati itself confirms it. If you're mainly looking at CSE and placements, LPU is also worth considering because it offers CSE with different specialisations and a large recruiter network. I'd compare the actual course, placement data, fees and opportunities rather than looking at the IIT tag alone.
