Hi,
Aeronautical Engineering deals with designing new aircraft that are limited to the Earth's atmosphere and deal with the concepts, components and forces that affect the aircraft. For example, aerodynamics, avionics, materials Science and propulsion.
Aircraft Maintenance Engineering deals with the repair of these aircraft. This can be part specific. So you can choose what interests you more.

In the case of private colleges, you can go for Manipal Institute of Technology.
If you are planning to go for government institute, IISC is the best option.
IISC, Bangalore is one of the best institutes in the world. Its cut-off is very high.
You need to clear JEE Mains and Advanced if you want to get admission in IISC.
